And, what does 1  :gravity : Chimera do?
It seems like nothing. I figured it re-activated the chimeras absorb effect, but it hasnt done anything for me yet.

Huh, that size puts it into the category of Eldrich Abomination, not a mere Chimera.

Mosquito?  I think there is some misunderstanding about both the concept and the graphic here, maybe a bigger picture will help understand it.

If you expected a lion with bat wings a goat head somewhere in the middle and a snake for the tail: no, that creature has nothing to do with gravity. Actually, the first name that came to my mind was "leviathan", but that is usually perceived as an aquatic creature.

Beside the original creature from Greek mythology, the term "chimera" is now used for "any grotesque monster having disparate parts", "a horrible or unreal creature of the imagination", and "an organism composed of two or more genetically distinct tissues".

So it turned out to be a perfect name IMO, it just does not refer to lion/goat/snake thingy.
Sure, I was not really wanting the lion goat anything else thing. I got the idea of disparate parts, but just dont think its good. Liked the octopus tentacles and wings, but that black skin is going to add nothing to the appeal. I suggest putting some thorns or scales at least. And a gigantic orange eye, lol. I would use my Eagles Eye to shoot an arrow on it and Chimera "OMG, Im blind", lol. A hundred eyes would be much less a weak point. Several heads would be good too.

Also, I think no one could see the humanoid shadow, lol. Maybe a dragon near it would make us believe its big.

2 cents.

am... i'm guesssing tht all your creatures abilities will be converted into momentum and gravity pull, right? this card would really be awesome to use if u had like 6 massive dragons, 2 flying titans and a few elite armagios, but it would suck if u got frozen. overall great cards.

Someone suggested a card that was sort of like this, but Zanz said Chimera was purely his own idea.

A few notes on Chimera:

  • The active skill, 'Chimera', is simply a bug. It does nothing, and Zanz will remove it shortly (if he hasn't already done so)
  • If your opponent uses PU on your Chimera, it simply dies. This is another bug that Zanz will fix. The intended result is for the Chimera to absorb all of your opponent's creatures with the sum of their stats.
  • Applying Gravity Pull status to another creature after Chimera has been summoned will remove Gravity Pull status from Chimera. Gravity Pull status cannot be on more than one creature at a time on a single side of the battlefield.
  • Chimera, when summoned, only absorbs the stats (attack|hp) of your creatures. Any other innate or added status effects (infection, antimatter, immaterial) are ignored.

Also, if anybody hasn't realized this yet, if your against mono-aether and Chimera is lobo'd, you can just play another one right after.

I love this card, and it really doesn't seem that OP at this point.

You can also play another chimera to get rid of delay/freeze/poison and if you get some more creatures out after you have a chimera, you get an even stronger chimera by playing one as well.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned chimera + liquid shadow yet. :P

Unstoppable insane healing where poison barely makes a dent?

Ooh that is an interesting idea :P. Could get tricky with the elements, but I'm definitely thinking a chimera+liquid shadow would be a great finisher for many rainbows to get the kill and EM all at once.

Wait, so if there is an antimattered creature, the negative attack is not absorbed?! Does this mean that Chimera is based on the "MAX" stats? If so, Chimera + Grown Steam Machine = no attack Chimera...

Obviously I need to test this myself, but a new Chimera will probably absorb the negative attack, so antimatter is a proper counter.[/list]
