I want to test this so bad right now...

Also, this is an EPIC update. If Elements was like most other TCGs:

"Scorpion's Pendulum

The greatest elementals, led by the venerable Jmizzle7 and his sidekicks PuppyChow and Jmdt, have explored deep into the Ancient Deserts far beyond the known Elements world. After defeating hordes of deadly, unstoppable Scorpions, they barely managed to make it to the Lunar Temple in the heart of the Deserts. Here they unlocked the secrets of using the Pendulums, but not before facing a nasty Nightmarish surprise planned by the residents of the Temple...

You, too, can unlock the secrets of the Ancient Deserts this August! Jammed pack with epic cards that you'll be sure to fit into your decks. Pre-order a box of 10 booster packs, and you'll received a limited edition legendary card...the Chimera."
Wow, I'm listed as a greatest elementalist along with Jmizzle7 and PuppyChow.  I've moved up in the world. :)  I guess being the highest ranked active player on Kongregate and writing the ttw thread will do that for you.

BTW, that story above is great.

Yeah, Dragoon and I were in chat when Zanz leaked the Chimera idea. It is, in a sense, a way to bypass the 23 creature limit. If you have a ton of Elite Skeletons or Elite Fireflies in play, this little guy will come in and clear it all up for you to spam even more.

By my own common sense, yes.  I am pretty sure that all creatures on your end of the field is sacrificed.

I think the word "combine" means it doesn't kill any of your creatures, so death effect don't trigger.

And when TU it, the two Chimera combine into one new Chimera. So no destroy or sacrifice either.

That makes perfect sense to those who understand the mechanic, but there are others who just need to be told that no death effects are triggered with any instance involving Chimera, except for its own death.  =P

Mosquito?  I think there is some misunderstanding about both the concept and the graphic here, maybe a bigger picture will help understand it.

If you expected a lion with bat wings a goat head somewhere in the middle and a snake for the tail: no, that creature has nothing to do with gravity. Actually, the first name that came to my mind was "leviathan", but that is usually perceived as an aquatic creature.

Beside the original creature from Greek mythology, the term "chimera" is now used for "any grotesque monster having disparate parts", "a horrible or unreal creature of the imagination", and "an organism composed of two or more genetically distinct tissues".

So it turned out to be a perfect name IMO, it just does not refer to lion/goat/snake thingy.
