I think the pledge goes at things the wrong way; I think it's better to say that I'll take the card that the oracle gives me and use it as an integral part of the deck - it's not just filler, it's a core part of the strategy.

Sadly, with a couple of exceptions, the more interesting I think my deck submission is, the more likely it is to get knocked out after 4-5 plays.  I'll try to keep it fresh, but if the Oracle gives me a great card for a Rainbow or a Fire Stall, I'll probably go there.

thing is, depending on your league, you might barely make any money from you arena deck at all, so I advise to just put a fun, inventive, even insane deck up so others can have fun playing it, you get a lot more moj0o from getting to rank one with pufferfish/ adrenaline than with firestall or a 'bow,

I, a gold league member, pledge, that on day 17 of month 10 of year 2011,  to break any generalization or rule thrown at me. This includes mainly using new decks, but also sometimes "classic" decks once in a while, and even letting a deck stay dead. Removing any deck entirely from the league increases the league's predictability and thus decreases fun, in my idea of the meaning of the word.
And even if I do make a firestall or dexterity speedbow or "old stinky boring" deck, it may be either a completely different version or the cookie cutter version.

May all who disagree with me rage in peace. :)
I agree.

What happens when oracle gives you a Must. A Must i mean a card that you have to put on a classic deck, supernovas, quantum towers, pests, fire pillars etc. ?

then you get a high score, but you piss people off and don't get the extra money from thumbs ups that people give you.

I don't actually know if there is a 'must' card out there at all.
Supernova: Serendipity Deck (Granted, Immolation and Supernova are hardest due to being in their 'nature' rush cards.)
Quantum Tower: Rainbow / Enter-Element-Here duo (So many combinations)
Fire Tower: Fire / Rainbow Duo, Raging Angels, Manic Princess (Just because it has fire doesn't make it standard)
Pest: Thirst of Gaia, Void Stall, Vader Sader + Eclipse (Pests work so much better in duo's anyway)

So really, if you give me a card I can find a deck that uses it well that is non-standard. (Assuming the card is actually good in 'some' respect, but few cards are bad enough for that.)

"Removing any deck entirely from the league increases the league's predictability and thus decreases fun"

I don't agree. For me fun is:

#1 win a card in a spin
#2 win with my deck
#3 win with arena deck

Obviously i do enjoy playing or playing vs creative decks. It's a kind of fun, but the time those decks don't really aproach a minimum level of competitivity, why should i invest time and electrum in inproving a deck that is not a pro deck?

If you want a simil from the top CCG: Those who play MTG knows there are a few top decks in the metagame, while some weird/creative decks come across for top8 sometimes.

In elements there are more pro decks than in other games, i think it's wonderful.

that would not be fun. Think flying weapon/nightmare, fly a weapon and nightmare it, that way even if your opponent can play it, they could usually only play one.
