Need help improving my arena decks preformance

I do not have any specific deck to give you an example of but almost every deck I make is not playing within three hours with around 0-3 wins. I am not sure what I am doing wrong that does not allow any of my arena decks to get very far. So  I would really apreciate any help/tips that are thrown my way. I am looking for: potentially a deck to test my arena decks with, tips to strengthen the deck, ways to learn (besides trial and error and not knowing what went wrong), and anything else you can think of that may help. Thankyou for any and all help that is offered it is much apreciated. Ps. If you like I can post my days arena deck to start giving anyone who is trying to help an idea of what I am doing wrong.

Alright today I went with a poison deck not really orignial but its working alright 4 wins 1 loss. I normally aim for a fairly orignal deck to make.

When you say counter specific meta games that means like put in a purify to stop poison, or sanctuary to stop pests, blackhole, and nightmare right?

Basically, but make sure that it fits with whatever deck you have in mind. Don't go trio 'just' for some purifies for example, if you are dipping into an element you have to justify the quanta you are putting into it. Which either means going rainbow, or using something else from the Water  pool if you're dipping purifies since 3/4 is generally more than enough.

Also, make your deck overquanta'd rather than underquanta'd. Arena decks once they get dexterity function FAR different than normal decks. And then put in higher cost cards to justify the overquantaing of your deck.
