You are such a killjoy Kael Hate. But I have to agree with you permission would be nice.


I don't think that Ajit is going to be selling these on the elements real life black card market and making a profit from the fakes while Zanz's real life cards fail to sell.

Depending on where you live "Fair Use" may come into play. But rather than getting legal on anything permission would be nice.

You could always ask permission after the fact - it couldn't hurt. The worst that could happen is that Zanz says no and bans you from the game! haha I don't think he would do that.


EDIT: When have any of us asked direct permission from Zanz to do a lot of things? My Avatar is an example. I never asked permission to alter the art.

Take the current card redesign competition, does each contestant need to ask Zanz permission to participate.


I think in general Zanzarino, vrt, pepokish etc accept using their work as long as it is not for profit and for the betterment of the community.

That isn't explicit of course so correct me if I am wrong. In any case I think it only would be an issue if someone starts trying to profit off the game.

Nice.  I was actually thinking about some nice printed cards while I was working on the Card Redesign Competition.

As for a pocket RNG, it's called dice.  Dusk Shield > If you roll 3 or less you miss.  You'd need 12 sided dice for Quantum Pillars not to mention a boatload of counters for quanta, growth, poison, etc.  But it's very much doable.

As for printing them, I saw that this site (http://www.tmcards.com/index.php) prints custom cards.  I wonder about the price and quality though?

Right.  this is how the idea formulated in my head, although currently nothing planned.  Especially considering the whole permission thing.

It was a nice experiment, but I'm ready to try for some hopefully higher quality cards.  Anything comparable to MtG and Pokemon and others would be ace.
