Last day checked my profile (easier access for my topics), and saw my reputation points: 277. Today: 327. What the... what happened?

I think that should let you see for yourself. Profile => Profile Info => View Reputation.

I feel like a noob.  I had no idea you could view that stuff.  I was wondering why there was a "comments" part when giving reputation.  Mostly assumed reputation was given anonymously.

Anyhow, thanks for every point. Btw I still saw only 5 entries there: 4 reps I gave to others and 1 got from Arth. I guess I see here only those
reps which contain a comment or was gave by me to others regardless if there is a comment or isn't.

no you see rep even if they dont put a comment. You also get rep from other stuff like making topics, posting etc.

You dont have any more reps than what you see not many people use the rep button anymore anyways

People only see reputation growths given either to them or by them. Reputation growth accumulated by the amount of topics/posts made and time spent on the forum is not visible to anyone.

I suspected some "incremental growth", but this still does not explain the sudden +50. :-D
