What to do after the death of Flash?

I read a post in chat which may be helpful to some.  As I am not computer savvy, there are some instructions which I don't understand, but I thought that it would be best to post here to hopefully be of help to some.

Also searched google for Elements, and saw pictures of the cards... hurts a lot. Before the vanishing I wanted to make screenshots
ALL of the cards (ok I can check wikis, not the same quality), plus at least look at my dear Nymphs one last time... I don't even have a screenshot
of ALL my Nymphs/Marks.

Not that it'll do you any good without the servers working. I guess you could mess with your HOSTS file to mock the server (like I was trying to do with elementstheproxy). But maybe useful if you want to extract resources like images etc

Downloaded the adobe flash debugger, and yep, same stuff, cannot login. Sadly dunno how to locate and "hack" the mentioned HOSTS file.

But by "hack" I mean you'd rewrite the elements server & then redirect requests to elementsthegame.com to that server instead of Zanz's

For reference elementstheproxy tried to implement enough requests to handle matchmaking. You'd have to extend that with at least logging in

Now after expiration of elementsthegame.com domain non of mentioned possibilities to play game work.
Even trainer was requesting single file from that server and now it is impossible to use it.
So I decompiled game, removed request to that file and saved.
Now trainer works (at least it is possible to run it):

Sadly it is only possible to input AI deck. It is not possible to just play with any level AI, cuz decks7.txt probably contains list of opponent decks.

It is sad that even the domain name has expired. I mean, thanks for Zanz for running the show for this long, but...

Zanz, if you ever drop in here, how about releasing ALL OF THE FILES? I'm sure it would make happy quite a few ppl to have
this gem at least for old times' memories. Or if some of the mods have still contact with Zanz, pls, convince him to do so.

Anyway, download Flashpoint 10.1.0.7 Infinity. It's a compilation of flash games, pretty much all of them, ever. You can download Elements but, obviously, you can't log in to your account as the server is gone. You can play the game but only as a new player.

It's not really a solution but if you wanted some nostalgia.

Pretty good substitute considering it has a server for saving your progress. There's also a web version in that thread.
