What is my next step please ?

Been playing for over 2 weeks now, and I think I am ready to ditch my newbie status.

Currently I am grinding Silver, winning most but not getting a lot of special spins as sods law means I lose the the last one each time.
Killing some FGs with a basic RoL/Hope and no Lobos yet
I have about 10 decks but only 1 upped deck

Should I be thinking of joining a WAR or entering some tournaments?
What exactly is War and how/when should I get started?

If you have a rol hope deck you can keep farming FG to have more upped cards.
You should try tournament or beginner's league (go in the pvp league section for more informations). For war you must wait the next war to sign in. war is a big pvp event you can read rules in the War section but you can't join now.

Also thanks for your guide, I've been using it  to help fight FGs Unfortunetly I don't have any Lobos yet so my win rate is very low, i did win a miracle and have that in there, and its proved its worth keeping me alive to win a few more.

I will go look for the beginners PVP right now...

Yep lobo is really needed for a lot of FG as I said in my guide (glad you liked it btw )

The beginners league is a good and funny way to come in the pvp environnement, don't be afraid by the 30 games limit, if you are a little active you can do it in a week. anyway 1 game per days is VERY doable, because there are lot of player in beginners league (also called bl)
