This topic arose in chat when I wondered who would win in the following scenario:

Player 1 has a giant frog on the field and 5 health. It is his turn.
Player 2 has a gravity pulled voodoo doll on the field and has 5 poison counters on himself (the player).

Who wins when player 1 ends his turn?

Terroking had a related idea right after this:

Player 1 has an unstable gas and 1 health.
Player 2 has a voodoo doll and 20 health.

What happens when player 1 ends his turn?

GG and Kills are testing the first scenario now I believe, and hopefully will test the second. If you can think of any more scenarios in which the outcome of the game would be debatable, post them here, along with the "answer" if you can.
In fact, the idea was proposed by jmizzle (I think. I know Gli1tch was going to help test it, so it could have been his) but I don't remember the outcome, or even if there was one.

Should be interesting, anyway.
We desynched.  When the AI fired off the UG, I lost.

Theoretically a tie would never be possible because two lines of code can't be executed simultaneously right? If two people both win it was probably because of lag?

Just curious if a tie is possible.

As far as how the game should work, it should be a tie. But like you said, due to how coding works, the game doesn't recognize a winner.

Also, looking at the screenshots posted by GG, it looks like she should have won. Kills had 2 health left, and she ended her turn. The poison put him at 0, then the creatures attacked, putting him at 21. If the poison and first dragon's attacks coincided, they would have canceled each other out, and he'd have 12 health due to the other antimattered dragon. The same would be true if the poison didn't take affect first.

So, it appears that this really is a bug, since his health actually did go to 0. I'm assuming the game doesn't check for a victory until the first creature slot has made an action?

the time between the poison and attack is like .00000000000000....000001% diffrent and the game doesnt register the win in that short time, so the next creature attacks and since health cant go negative the antimatter saves you.

Yes, but your health actually does go to zero. The difference in time can be infinitely small, but your health still goes to zero first.

Well I think that should be fixed, or do others prefer it the way it is now?

Well actually, it is possible to have a mistake in code where game registers both players as winner, or both as loser, or one player as winner AND loser at the same time (depending on the code).

Also, it IS possible that Zanz solved poison calculations by simply adding its damage to first attacker before the damage is calculated on opponents HP.

Anyway, IMO GG should have won the match, and that should probably be "fixed", or at least explained by Zanz if he gets the chance to read this topic.
