Many great players have been profiled so far, and now it's time to take us to the edge of the top 5.

In 7th place, we find yet another 3 time Master, in this case, a Master of Time.  After competiting on the victorious team Entropy in the 2nd War, this member led team Time to a 2nd place finish in War 5.  Trials and Wars were not his only avenues of success - this player also played his way to the quarterfinals of the 2012 World Championship, and was a member of all 3 winning Draft teams.  4 tournament victories for this player include taking home the title on Fright Night (October 29, 2011), and he reached the finals of an additional 4 tournaments.  Without further ado, the 7th ranked player on our leaderboard is 10 men, with 1825 points!

In 6th place, we find one of our newest masters, having held just a single term of Mastership.  His 5 tournament victories include the two tournaments immediately before the April 2014 server outage, Glass Cannons and All Your Enemy Are Belong To Us, on March 22 and 29, respectively.  This player's truest dominance, however, has been in the arena of Leagues.  This member has placed top 3 in one league or the other in 8 of the last 9 seasons of Leagues, with the lone outlier being a BL 5th place in 3/2011.  In this incredible streak, the member (sometimes known as "You can't see me" due to his black name) has placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in both BL and CL.  At the number 6 place on the leaderboard we find current Master of Darkness, Odii Odsen, with 1835 points!

Now, our countdown has reached the 5 most accomplished players of all time in Elements History.

In 5th place, we find a member who has scored in each of the 7 categories of PVP Achievements.  Leagues achievements of this player include a 3rd place in BL 1/2011, 2nd place in BL 3/2011, and 3rd place in CL 1/2012.  This player was also a member of the winning War team, Team Aether, in War 7.  A member of the winning house in Harry Potter PVP, this member also recently placed 2nd in the Sacrifice event.  In Solo PVP Events, this player won Avatar II, and placed 3rd in Sideboard II and Lost Temple.  In the World Championship of 2013, this member reached the Quarterfinals.  This former Master of Earth has also won 7 tournaments, including Elemental Painter (held on May 11, 2013) and Auld Lang Syne (on December 31, 2011).  Congratulations to our 5th ranked player of all time, mrpaper, with a total of 2100 points.

The number 4 player on the PVP Achievements Leaderboard has performed exceptionally in nearly every type of forum event.  This player's Leagues performance includes two CL 3rd place finishes, a BL 3rd, and most recently a BL title, for an overall Leagues rank of 10th.  A member of the winning War team in the most recent war, and a member of 2nd place Team Air in War 6, this member has achieved in team settings; likewise, this player was a member of the winning team in TPVP 5.  Tournaments have been this player's unmatched arena of dominance, as he has taken home 13 trophies, the most of any player, and 29 total top 3 finishes, for an Elements-leading 760 points from tournaments.  These 13 tournament victories began with Biohazard (On December 18, 2010), and also include Buff Up (On April 16, 2011), a pair of back-to-back wins on October 20 and 27 of 2012 (Beggars vs. Barons and Choice of the Community, respectively), and most recently the Speedbuilding Potluck on July 19, 2014.  This player is one of only two players to reach at least the Quarterfinals of both the 2012 and 2013 World Championships, and recently captured his first Solo PVP Event in Sacrifice.  Should the 4th place member on the leaderboard, Jen-i defeat Zso_Zso and claim his first mastership later this week, he will have earned points in all 7 categories.  Congratulations to our #4 player, Jen-i, with 2110 points.

The number 3 player on the PVP Achievements leaderboard has some truly exceptional achievements in a couple of specific fields of PVP.  With seven tournament wins, starting with a pair of consecutive wins in Prime Target and Twisted Fate (on January 14 and 21, 2012, respectively), and also including Trials II: In With The New, on December 8, 2012.  It seems fitting that this member would win a tournament themed around Trials, since he is perhaps best known for his success in Trials and War, earning 3 straight titles as Master of Aether and 3 straight Wars as General.  The only other players to have participated on 3 winning War teams both participated with him on at least two of those teams.  Finally, having reached the final in TPVP5, this member joined forces with Higurashi and hainkarga to form Aether in Aeternum and capture the title in TPVP 6.  Congratulations to the number 3 player on our leaderboard, deuce22, with 2160 points.

Just two players remain on our leaderboard.

The player in the number 2 position has reached this position through widespread success in Elements PVP.  In Leagues, this player has accumulated 725 points, most notably winning CL in the 3/2012 season, and placing 2nd in the 2/2013 season and 3/2011 seasons.  In PVP Events, this player has taken home the top prize in Colosseum II and There Can Only Be One II, in addition to his 2nd place finish in Lost Temple and 3rd place finish in Avatar II.  In the 2012 World Championship, this player beat out a strong field of competitors to reach the final.  His 6 tournament victories include Penduolum, played on August 13, 2011, as well as Shiny and Deadly (on  June 8, 2013), and Law of the Excluded Middle (on July 13, 2013).  Currently serving his second term as Master of Entropy and looking to defend for a 3rd, our number 2 player on the PVP Achievements Leaderboard is Calindu, with 2175 points.

And now time to reveal the all time leader!  As many of you have guessed in chat, our number one spot on the leaderboard is held by majofa.

With double-digit tournament wins, Majofa has had a massive amount of success in Weekly Tournaments, accruing his first win in Starter, held on on August 21, 2010.  He's won a variety of other tournaments since then, including The New, just a week later, Oddball, on July 26, 2011, and The Twelve Days of Elements, on December 24, 2011.  In total, he acquired 18 tournament top-3 finishes, for a total of 540 points (good for 4th among all tournament players).  While majofa was not best known for his performance in Leagues, even they could not escape his skill - he achieved a 4th place finish in CL 2/2011.  Majofa took the Light Mastership in the 5th term, replacing Ryan666.  Having been part of the winning War team for Fire in the previous War, he promptly generaled Light to a second place finish - the brightest moment in Light's history.  In the first World Championship tournament, majofa beat out Calindu and took the 2012 title.  But PVP Events, both team and individual, are where majofa has truly risen far above his competition.  In Solo PVP Events, he took 2nd in Phat Deck, Grid 1, Prisoner's Dilemma, and Sideboard II, as well as winning events including Elements Chess, 12 Lives, and Raise the Stakes.  In Team PVP Events, majofa has finished on the 2nd place team for Draft I and III, and been on the winning team for Booster Draft I and TPVP 3.

Congratulations to majofa, the most accomplished Elements player of all time, with 2990 points.

I created this leaderboard for a variety of reasons.  I wanted to help capture some sense of excitement and history among the community, and dig into the history of the game in the years before I joined.  I wanted a system which could identify the most successful and accomplished players of all time, while still motivating both old players to keep trying to achieve more and new players to compete to see their names rise up the leaderboard.  I settled on a system that valued accuracy at the top above all else - i.e. correctly identifying the top 10 players was more important to me than correctly identifying places 51-100.  This would ensure that the players whose historical achievements were massive would set a very high bar for both old and new players to aspire to, as well as the fact that it's more important to have the top spots right in a leaderboard-type situation.  Given the nature of my intention, I also wanted there to be no possibility of losing points by losing matches - such a system might discourage players from playing in events, the opposite of my intention.  I also definitively wanted to make the points system opponent-agnostic within categories of event.  There would be far too many variables and too much subjectivity if I did so, and I also didn't want to punish a player for preferring an element that happened to have fewer/less famous challengers (in Trials, for example).  I intentionally valued high achievements very highly - such as winning World Championship, War, CL, or Trials - since winning such events requires a lot of dedication, and I believe that a truly top player could find a way to win all of those.  As a result, players who "lucked" or "got carried" their way to one win in a War or Trials are likely overrated by my system - but such is the price I pay for my accuracy at the top.  The fact that the highest scoring player in the subset of points coming from Trials + War (deuce22) still finished a fair margin behind majofa suggests that I didn't too badly overweight such categories.  I've had several players tell me they feel the rankings are fairly correct as they've been being revealed, which gives me confidence in the system as a whole.  I'm really excited to have tackled this project, and I appreciate all the support I've received!

So where does the project go from here?  I plan to update the leaderboard as events occur; I've already tacked on our latest masters and this week's tourney results (Congrats to dragonsdemesne for passing Jen-i for the most points from tournaments spot).  I still plan to reformat some of the individual tabs of the sheet, but I'm making it publically visible now.  I'd love for this project to inspire players to compete in more events, and help retain players both new and old.  Good luck and happy achievement hunting to all!

This is really great work you've done here and while we could argue forever over the value of this and that butt you pretty much nailed it when we look at finals standings so I'd suggest to keep those value forever.   Also, this thread deserves a sticky imo to avoid newcomers to don't even see it.  Lastly, you're descriptions we're awesome, maybe make new ones as people pass others over in  say the top 20 and wrote whenever you add more wars/events/trney etc. in totals?
