  • Fixed a couple glitches where Entropy and Time QIs weren't computing properly.

v 1.75 Update

  • Added the Deck Building Assister (DBA).  The DBA helps you figure out how many copies of a card you need in order to draw it within so many turns.  For instance, if you want to know how many copies of Burning Pillars you need in order to have a 2-in-3 (67%) chance of drawing 3 in your opening hand for a 30-card deck, it will tell you that you need 13 Pillars.  If you want to know how many copies of Heal you need in order to have a 3-in-4 (75%) chance of drawing 2 in the first 12 cards for a 30-card deck, it will tell you that you need 6 Heals.   The DBA will also tell you your QI for the cards listed.

  • I've had to shrink the tool a bit due to the limitations in Google Docs.  The good news is that it should be a bit faster.  The bad news is that it doesn't calculate as many cards or turns as before.  You can now only calculate 20 different cards (instead of 60) and it only calculates out through 20 turns (instead of 54 turns).  Fortunately, most decks use far less than 20 different cards and about 99% of the important information is in the first 20 turns.  So the upsides definitely out-weigh the downsides here.
  • New links for tools.  It's easier for me to make copies of my Master version than to try to move things over to the old spreadsheets bit by bit.  So you need to use the links in the OP to access the latest versions of the tools.
  • Some more cosmetic and UI enhancements to hopefully make things easier to use.
  • OP updated.
Only two major things left I'd like to do.  I hope to finish the multi-card combo calculator and finish making the Aggregate Damage Simulator.  If any math whiz wants to help me with the multi-card combo calculator I'd appreciate it.  I think my formulas aren't quite right and I'm not sure what to do to fix it.  Thanks!

Edit:
I forgot, I had also updated the DOG to use probability now instead of proportionality.

I should be reading the forums while I am grinding AI.  I have managed to miss this until now.  Props are indeed in order.  This work is appreciated and I look forward to your updates.  +Karma.

Hey guys. So Dragoon has passed on the torch to me, and I'll be managing this spreadsheet now.

Wish me luck~

I really appreciate the machine ^^
Um, I don 't quite understand the difference between No of Copies wanted and No of cards to draw. What does it mean by "7 being the no of cards you draw at the beginnning?' Sorry for my bad English~

"7 being the # of cards you draw at the beginning" means that's how many cards you draw from your deck when you first start the game on turn 1. "# of Copies Wanted" is how many copies of a certain card you want. "# of cards to draw" is how many cards you should draw from your deck for you to get the number of copies you want.

For example:
Say I want to draw 2 Immolation by turn 3. That means I would put 2 in the "# of Copies Wanted" column and 9 in the "# of Cards to Draw" column. I get nine by adding the 7 cards I start with on turn 1 plus 1 card for turn 2 plus 1 card for turn 3. The spreadsheet will then calculate how many copies of Immolation I should have in my deck to get 2 Immolations by turn 3 (9 cards) based on deck size and minimum % I want.

I hope that made sense.

Hey guys, I know not much has changed with this since I took over, but summer is coming up, and finals have just started at school here. That means half days and more time for me. :D

I'm going to put the UDBT as my main focus for that time, look forward to the new updates. ;)
