Top 50 score decrease?

I've been tracking my score for the past week or so, seeing if I have any hope of making the Top 50.  Something strange happened - I didn't record which player was #50 each time, but the #50 spot's score dropped sharply between 12/3 and today, 12/9.  It was 177832 and is now 155826.  What in the world could cause that?  I mean, other than a large number of Top 50 players simultaneously deleting their accounts.

Top 50 resets on Sundays. If they post Saturday night/Sunday morning when it changes, anyone can be T50.

So some of the higher-score players were inactive this week so far then, I guess?

Still need a score around 150k to have a shot unless you get super lucky though.

Ive been more or less stuck at 220-250k for the past 4 months. And I'm still in the same place in t50. Around #20-40 (26-33 is my usual range at sundays) depending how many that submits and how many that doublepost with multiple IPs. The top players keep on getting further ahead while the lesser scored players leave the game. So the gap between nr 1 and nr 50 is steadily increasing.

When I started in february/march it took me 2 months to achieve a permanent t50 spot with 120k score. With 100k you had #45-50 at the end of the week.  Now the top players have 500-600k and the lowest have about 140k, back then the nr 1 had about 300.

i figured early on that the average increased by 5000 score per week
and everything seems to point that is the case until 1 or 2 months back (maybe due to war or RL situation?)
according to my estimation the minimum required score for getting into T50 (and staying there for most of the week) should be well over 200k by now
but thats not the case

It took me 2 months to get 120 (ie permanent spot which was my first goal with this game), 2 more months to get 220k, and that was in July, since July I've increased by 35k and that is enough to hold on to my 30ish range.

Ive seen a lot of players go, almost the entire t50 are new names from when I started out with a few exceptions.

Based on today's leaderboard I would be in the mid 30s, but I won't submit until after the war.  Call it paranoia.

An aside - many thanks to the player who put out a Lobotomizer farm.  My collection has been lacking in those for a long time, and finally filling that gap allowed me to build my RoL-Hope deck.  Sadly, it has not treated me well in FG farming thus far... had a rash of bad luck last night.

Also, rastafla's weird Relic farm.  Think I'll hoard them...

You never know, Zanz might suddenly introduce a use for them, and then I will have all the relics and you will have none!  Wahahah!

But yes, I see the off-chance that they might be valuable someday as a better investment then selling them for the 65 electrum I don't really need.  I have 9 relics, that's 585, which is just over one-third the price of a single upgrade.  Even rare weapons sell for better, and they're easier to win.

For reference, bottom of the T50 is 177k right now. I think 180k has been pretty standard for the end of week cut-off for the last month or two. It hasn't been changing much, but I don't think it has gone down.

Well Top50 would not matter after Zanzarino change it to Top500 where score wouldn't matter but your deck will so say bye bye to rare farm decks and hello epicly hardcore decks that will battle it out for a higher rank spot.
