Great idea for a post, BluePriest.  Personally, I think it's kind of a wall of text at the moment, and could be formatted better -- but the idea and information included so far is great.

How about:
18.)  Don't spam to up your post count. 

I have seen quite a few members try to do this, and their spam posts just end up getting removed, putting them right back at the start.

I'm not quite sure I understand why this thread exists when the forum rules (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?action=rules) explain everything one needs to know about posting already, along with consequences. This thread is redundant and unnecessary, and makes it appear as if you are a moderator yourself.

I edited the main post so that it is very clear I am not a moderator, and also a tweak so that people wont think that these are rules as much as etiquette people prefer. Don't want to give the wrong impression at all. \
And the reason I have this topic as well is because it has things more related to a persons mind-set (like #14 on being hypocritical, or #11 saing to give suggestions instead of just complaining about it).

Also, some things like the necropost, aren't mentioned in the rules, however, I recall several times where someone does that, and then it is immediately followed by a don't necropost and a thread lock. Which is one of the main reasons I made this. To make the "unwritten rules" written.

Actually you DO have to go trough the entire topic. I find it extremely rude for people to post a question which has already been answered 4 pages prior in the same thread.

Anyone else agree on this? Especially in topics that have more than 5 pages, I doubt anyone would read all 5 pages before posting. Im going to change it a little because I do see a point there, and if it seems more people agree, then Ill change it to completely what you said.

I ALWAYS read the whole thread before posting. I don't want to say the same thing as somebody did 5 pages ago.
