I spent most of my early days grinding AI3 with various AI3 decks. I learned that if you sit down and just grind for some time with any AI3 deck while watching TV or listening to music, heck you could even be talking to your friends, you can get lots of rares, lots of money and can build the FG deck of you dreams. I know it's boring, but if you can sit for a while you can open the door and leave noob-dom.

I don't know if this takes 8 hours or less, but you can spread the time over several days. It's pretty effective, if you can handle it.

After reading part 5, I thought it went the most ordinary way for a newbie just played for 5 hours. You are not supposed to be winning many (2-3) upped cards in AI5 in that short time. And that's the reason you can't become rich in 8 hours.

As for the decks used in each part, only the speed rainbow in part 2 is effective against the AI3. The Life rush could be used for an alternative, but undoubtedly it has a lower win rate. The mono-Aether deck is outdated, and should not be used to play against AI4+.

According to the ttw study, the fastest unupped AI3 decks had an average of 7/8 ttw. At this speed, you can hardly earn enough to up one card in an hour. This is also the reason why the newbies quit in this stage.
um... there is no speed rainbow in part 2
Sorry, false memory. Should be part 3.
Well you know what I mean anyway.

Thanks for posting these. It's really helpful to read your insights because I am still learning the interactions of all the cards. I hope you have better luck! I am grinding halfbloods right now and I know how that is. Sometimes I'll win 5-6 games in a row with EM's, other times I lose the same amount in a row. I haven't kept track of which ones I lose too though, that may be it. Since there are so many opponents, it seems like there would be unavoidable losses at some point no matter what deck you use.

Pendulums are just like pillars. You can have more than 6 in a deck.

I've tested the "Ultimate Elemental Mastery Grinder"

So far 5 loses and 1 win (no EM).

I don't know if I'm having extremely bad luck or what but I kept losing, reasons:

- enemy destroying/stealing shields or emphatic bonds
- continuous CC killing all my frogs, either some eagle's eyes (2 frogs killeds per turn), or shockwaves, ignitions, thunderstorms and more. I am talking on maybe 6 thunderstorms, 3 eagle's eye killing, a lot of shockwaves, in the same game!!
- the enemy getting a ton of dimensional shields, wings, poisoning shields, fire shields, etc which killed my frogs fast.

PD: Now I started another game and the enemy just drew out a fire buckler, great :/
PD2: And he spammed some pandemonium and rage potions  :(
PD3: Now some fire bolts! :D all my 2 fractal rounds of frogs annihilated already in few rounds.
PD4: And ofcourse he killed my emphaty bonds and shields with explosions and I lost.

6 loses, 1 win, 0 EMs.

Extremely bad luck or this sucks?

EDIT:

New game, I fractal a frog and get a ton out, result: fire storm and this happens again. GREAT!!!

NEW EDIT:

New game, he gets a platinum shield out fast (frogs will only damage 1 since now on..), he destroys 2 of my bonds and CC some. lmao?

I ended up getting an EM on this game, with the max frogs out damaging 1 and with the last 2 empathy bond outs, if the shield had lasted a turn less I would have died due the spam he had out there to kill me.

Either I'm having epic bad luck or this deck doesn't work out, I didn't die by getting out of cards anytime and I only got a EM, a win and 7 loses.

MORE NEWS:

Next 2 rounds: the AI draws Discord in the first round on both games and I'm kinda fucked the rest of the game, he is ruining my pile of aethers so I cannot use fractal or even shield sometimes.

On the last of those 2, the enemy used Nighmare on a black dragon when I had 1 card inhand. As a result, my full hand was filled with black dragons and I was fucked since I had few frogs out and couldn't do anything in hand.

I'm back to the previous AI5 deck, the all aether one, at least I win...

LAST EDIT:

Not to say, half of the HB will use Pandemonium and fuck up all your frogs.

That's just bad luck. That's been what, about 10 games, right? It'll pass, or it's just not suited to your play style. Maybe you'd like more of a control or stall deck?  Don't just copy SG's deck; see what ideas others have come up with, and create variations of your own to better suit how you think... or go to the trainer and test it out there first.

NO, it's not bad luck. And no, its not "my" way of playing.

Half of the HB DESTROY your EBs, half of the others spam pandemonium and a lot of other CC measures, half of them uses momentum which ignores your shield, and everything this expecting you to draw a nice hand.

Otherwise you may start with 4 fractals, 1 pendulum and EBs/frogs inhand, and you keep receiving those cards instead of pendulums. It happened to me 3 times already, and you're fucked even before fractaling a frog.

I just don't believe what ScaredGirl posted there, that she got a lot of EMs, few loses and all the loses were due getting out of cards. Not even close to the reality, on half blood this deck fails!  :(.

No, it works. Ive tested it myself, with similar results to SG's (except I won an upped card :P). You are doing something wrong. I promise you. Either that or you are having bad luck.

How could I be doing something wrong?

When you start, you wait until you have 9 aether to use fractal on a frog. Here some problems can happen: You can start with a really low number of pendulums and take ages for this. You can nearly die before getting resources

When you fractal a frog, the enemy will probably CC em all or most of them. You will try to fractal more or to get emphatic bonds, but they dont usually come yet (or max 1-2) and the enemy uses to destroy them so you cannot heal and die if you dont have shields.

Even if you use shields, a lot of enemies applies momentums or uses titans so you're dead if you dont have the healing system mounted there.

And even if all goes good, the enemy can turn up any kind of shield to ruin it everything, it can phase shield you out (you wont run out of cards, you will get without shield and slowly die), get the poison or fire shield so your creatures die in 2-3 rounds, etc.

Please tell me the exact strategy you use on this, because I am used to grind AI3, top50s, and even the same Fake gods always and I consider all that easy, and I find nearly impossible to win or get an EM with this.

GAME 1: I just started a game on HB with this deck. I got bad luck and didn't get a frog until 9 card left in the deck. However, the enemy had taken me into few hps before using shields and had destroyed by 3 emphatic bonds so I would never be able to heal anymore. Got out of shields and died before seeing a Frog. LOSS.

GAME 2, vs Pyronos: I had luck and started with 6 pendulums, an emphatic bond and a fractal. However, it took 5 turns like a frog appeared, I fractal it and the enemy uses rain of fire, all the frogs dead. I have to use a shield because the crimson dragons were taking me down. I have a frog in hand but fractals are not appearing. Luckily another shield and a fractal appears, the enemy turns on a fire shield which damages all my frogs. He again uses rain of fire and kills them all. I want for a fractal frog and quanta, in 3 turns I re-fractal frogs and AGAIN i get them all killed by a rain of fire, and I get out of shields, I die.

This is not a rare case, this happened me every time.

GAME 3, vs Shades: Starting hand, 3 penulums, 2 EB, 2 shields. No frog or fractal appearing, I keep getting pendulums and emphatic bonds. I get a frog but no fractals yet, the enemy starts summoning black dragons. He uses nightmare and fills all my hand with black dragons. I made all of them dissapear on gew turns and get a fractal. I have the 4 EBs out and I fractal frogs, he starts poisoning them. He uses thunderstorms and nearly kills them, he also uses Wings so im fucked during 5 turns. He steals my EBs. Fractals not appearing now, my hp is recovered but no way to add more frogs. He keeps poisoning my frogs and stealing my EBs. I get 2 fractals in a row and summon like the max frogs I could but he is being healed by my 2 EBs stolen. I luckyly get all the remaining fractals in a row and I get a EM on my last card.

Kinda rare, an EM here but not even easy or fast.

Game 4, vs Tereric. He killed me with quicksands. Couldn't use anything fast enough.
