If boosters will be obtainable via PvP points only, then it would be best to have a few tiers established first. That shouldn't be too difficult to do, as we know from the import/export deck feature that each card has a unique three character code, so the servers could just check for deck restrictions.

PvP could be potentially split into 4 different tiers:
1. No upgrades in deck and no rares in deck (unlocked at beginning of game)
2. No upgrades in deck (unlocked after finishing the rare weapon quest)
3. No rares in deck (unlocked after upgrading a card)
4. All cards and upgrades allowed (unlocked after upgrading a card)

There could be a lobby for each tier, and the servers check for the deck restrictions and deny entry if the deck does not follow the guidelines.

That way, PvP would be more skill-based as players would be on a more level playing field.

Methinks we need a thread split, with the Booster Pack discussion being moved to Game Suggestions, so that we don't lose track of the morality debate the OP clearly wanted to have.
If something happens and you think it deserves my attention, feel free to PM me. Other than that, I'm probably here if you want to shoot the breeze.

Just my two cents, haven't read the full debate.

Sure, Rare Farms are nice. But, it still takes a lot of time and effort to 'farm' the top50 to get these rare cards. I was trying for about 2 months to get ONE Eternity.. I ended up with 4 Discords and finally got my Eternity.

To be honest, if Zanz had implemented ANY other viable way of getting more than 1 rare card (either new quests, higher chances etc) then this problem wouldn't exist. Sure, it is abusing the game system and is highly unfair in a way - but if the game offered a more viable solution to get 'rare' cards, then like I said, this problem wouldn't exist.

I guess for me it comes down to having rare farms available when I started, so why not pass that on to other people?  Like I said before Zanz can (and does) control what cards are available in the slots.

Rare farms have been very good to me. I usually get 2 or 3 rares every farm and occasional rares from the other top 50 decks.
