AI3 or AI4

I disagree with everyone in this thread except the opening poster.

AI3 used to be a faster way to grind electrum than AI4.  It no longer is.  I discovered this when I ran this little experiment.  You'll play faster and have a higher winrate in AI3, but it takes a bunch of matches to earn the ~1150 you get from one upped card.  To those who say effective AI4 grinders are too expensive, I reply: The Essential Halfblood Farmer.

If you were taught that AI3 grinding is better than AI4 grinding, it might've been by someone who is used to the old HBs.  Winrates and upped spin rates against the new HBs are a lot higher nowadays.

Given that getting a single upped gives you an hours worth of farming ai3 most likely, but i wouldn't neglect to mention that it is also a low chance, somewhere around 2%.
Regardless though, half bloods do provide some of the most diverse decks to play against, seeing as they are random.

but that also means that every 50 games you win you get about 1400 + the other you get!

In addition if you end your game with full HP you get additional reward and - at least for my experience - it is quite easy to achieve that in AI3, but not really in AI4.
Of course it still depends on which deck you are using, but since you said you are playing a deck with 5 upped cards only and lose half of the games in AI4 it should be quite clear what is better for grinding in that situation..

Yeah but I think I'l still use more AI4 then AI3.
