Don't like any of the decks on the website? All decks you make fail?
Don't panic. This might help.
The first thing you need to know is which element is the element for you. I play life because I like healing, but you might like the speed that fire offers, or enjoy the poison only death/water can bring. If you're trying to make a rainbow deck, you're going to need a lot on knowledge of all the cards in elements, not just a select favorite. If you're making a deck, always use the trainer (
http://www.elementsthegame.com/trainer) first.
Step 1 to building a deck is picking your elements. As I'm master of life, we'll stick with that. The next thing you need to do is pick your decks focus. In my case, life goes great with FFQs, but it also has adrenaline, and some of the best damage to cost ratios in the game. Life also does amazingly well if you have a full field. This is why FFQ decks are so popular. If you're making a fire deck, immolations are a good pick for speed, but you can choose between dropping golems, dragons, or lances with that quanta. In a rainbow deck, you can just pick a synergizing card or two from every element, and then use trial and error. As I'm making a mono-life, I'm left with making a growth based deck, an adrenaline based deck, or a spam deck.
Step 2 to building a deck is picking your focus. I'm going with an adrenaline based deckOnce you've picked your deck's focus, you need to buy essential cards. You'll want 10 pillars, as that's a great ratio for a 30 card deck. You'll also want at least six attackers. I'm going with six horned frogs. Of course, you'll want 6 of any combo cards. As the only combo card I'm using in this deck is adrenaline, I know 22 of the cards in my deck, and I can pick and choose the remaining 8. A rainbow, however is different. You'll want electrum hourglasses if you're deck is over 30 cards, and you'll probably need delay cards. Eternity is a good choice, as are novas. You'll need to choose your pillar count carefully too. You'll want at least one card using quanta from each element. Eventually, you'll find a good fit.
Step 3 to building a deck is buying essential cards. Be sure to check for any rare cards that can replace these. For instance, I have a nymph and can put that in and drop an adrenaline. I won't though, as beginners normally won't have a life nymph. Now that you know how many optional cards you can take, hit the bazaar and see what other cards would go well with the deck. In my case, Emphatic bonds aren't the best option, as I've only got 6-7 creatures in this deck at this point. I could put in EBs and cockatrices in the deck if I wanted. If you've got a rare card, putting those in is a good idea too, not to mention fun. Speaking of which, you'll probably need to put in a shield if it's a PVP deck, but take it out if it's a grinding deck. Taking a weapon is a good choice too. Taking dragons is a situational thing, that should only be done if you both need the damage and have the quanta
Step 4 is taking optional cards. I'm not sure if you have a nymph or not, so I'll take an Emerald Shield, a Druidic Staff, 3 emphatic bonds, and 3 cockatriceThe final deck I made looks like this:
7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ag 7ag 7ag 7ak 7al 7am 7am 7am 7an 7an 7an 7an 7an 7an
It's as good a deck as any, but it's got room for improvement. Using rustlers and ray's of light would allow it to be pillarless and faster, and adding a nymph would be good too. I imagine you can come up with a better one than I did for this guide, and can't wait to see them posted. Here's the link to the trainer (
