The cost of upgrading!!! https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=5218.msg52450#msg52450

I've heard a lost about this not just on here but on kongregate.com too. Everybody is saying that the cost of upgrading a pillar should be from 750-1000 electrum, because a deck might contain anywhere from 10-20 pillars and if i did the math right it is about 15000 electrum to upgrade 10 pillars and 30000 electrum to upgrade 20 which is way too much.
Also the cost of upgrading a normal monster card should be from1100-1300 electrum is enough i guess.
This will be good for new players because when they see how much it is to upgrade one card there going to say why am i playing this game if I can't probably reach that goal. I know this for a fact because when i started playing elements and i saw how much electrum i was winning and how much it cost to upgrade or even win cards i left elements for like 4-5 months then i picked it up again...

There is no need to change cost of upgrading as when you start farming FG's you will start winning upped cards and you can sell them for enough money to buy the upgrades you want.

one reason i really love elements is the fact that it gives me goals that take extended periods of time, keeping me locked into the game. if i were able to upgrade cards for as much as you, overall about 2/3 of the cost or so, i would have 150% of the upgraded cards i have now atleast. This is what trainer is for. if you want to just have upgraded cards and play games, then you have a place where you have infinite money and cards - something i am grateful for. However, i just spent two months upgrading a deck that can consistently beat fake gods, and just a few days ago made it so all 44 cards were upgraded. this is something i'm proud of. Now things are a little easier, since i can get upgraded cards in rolls and sell them for about 1150. Downgrading the cost of upgraded cards just seems lazy to me, but obviously its popular among new players because it would make the game easier for them. i'm just not a huge fan of the idea

it would be unfair for those who upped 10-15 of each pillar if the value of towers reduces

What you need to do is read ScaredGirl's FG Killer thread and use a rainbow deck to farm.  Then when you have enough electrum from that you can build the deck you want with all upgraded cards.  Also, if the prices do change I don't think it is unfair to those who paid "full price" for their pillars or other cards.  There has never been a guarantee that the prices will remain the same, and if lowering the cost of upgrades did make the game better(which I do not believe) and greatly increased the amount of players then I am sure most veterans would not complain.  I have a fully upgraded rainbow deck and am just farming FG's until I have enough coin  to make my own personal PVP deck.  However, to be honest, if prices were dropped, I probably would enjoy smashing lower level players IN PVP just a little bit more to get my electrum's worth. ;D
