Explain the Points / Ranking System? https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=3010.msg25505#msg25505

I have played Elements for about a year.  While my score has been going up steadily (about 75% wins vs. T50 and PvP), I cannot imagine it increasing fast enough to ever crack the T50.

The most my score has ever increased at once was (iirc) about 150 pts. from beating a hi-rank deck in PvP.  If that's the fastest way to up your score, then T50 deck owners must play each other in PvP has a full-time job in order to maintain their scores.

So, there must be something I'm missing.  What is the formula for determining a deck's score?  I thought it was based mainly on W-L record, strength of opponents, and margin of victory, but that doesn't add up.

Does anyone know the ACTUAL FORMULA for computing rank?

As far as I know it's

Electrum Won = Score Won

Btw, t50 usually farm FGs or HBs with reliable wins/EMs. It's easier to gain score/ electrum if you have over 100 hp (use stone skin or SoDs)

The trick to getting lots of rank is to have started playing this game right when it came out. Which many of those players did. So they've been playing for a long time to have gotten the scores they have now.

I started in August/September (can't remember) and am now safely in the Top 50 at 104k score. You didn't HAVE to start when the game came out in May.

You just have to play a lot and farm a lot of Gods, since they tend to give out the most score :).

So are the T50 decks that you encounter in PvP from the daily, weekly, or all-time T50?

If they are not really the 50 best decks, but just the decks belonging to the players who have accumulated the most total wins - regardless of how recent the wins were, or who they were against, then it's not much of a list.

How does a deck fall out of the T50? Only by someone else surpassing their score?  So a deck with 1,000,000 pts. could replace all their cards with quantum towers, lose every match by 100+ HPs, but because the score is so high, it will sit as a worthless T50 deck for months like that.

Doesn't seem right.  Am I just not getting it?

You are not getting it. It's not meant to be the Top 50 decks. That would be impossible to judge anyhow. The list is the 50 people with the highest points who have logged in in the last week (so only the weekly list in the Highscores matter; it's not exactly a last-seven-days kind of thing but rather it is reset every week at a certain time so if you check the day after it resets it would be like a daily list) . It's their (the Top 50's) prerogative to play whatever deck they wish.

The Top 50 also do not PVP each other to gain points quickly. Random PVP is mostly the realm of people who can't take on FGs. Top 50 people would not gain good points there. PVP duel has no rewards. PVP is also so slow it is not worth playing unless you have low points and can beat people with higher points.

Points = electrum won/lost
(this does not include any cards won and/or subsequently sold to get more electrum)
