So, I was wondering: for an 
defensive(= control and semistall) duo, is better to use a Pulvy or a SoFo?
Lol'd at the parenthesis.
This is kind of an odd question, but my usual thoughts are
Reusable, possibly slower, pretty PC = Pulvy.
Quick, not so reusable, powerful early game PC = SoFo.
Since you are using a stall, I would definitely go through the Pulvy Route, as it wouldn't be too hard to fit a weapon into a stall -- Plus, the Pulvy can be better protected and be used for a longer term than SoFo, which is what stalls are looking for. (Protection = PA.)
However, if you're feeling like you're going to be a bit low on quanta and feel like playing a bit more of early PC, SoFo is good. You can -somehow- figure out how to work longer with the SoFo if you target it with GPull, but that means that it may be killed.
It's also good to remember that SoFo gives off a Black Hole once it hits it's maximum hp, which could aid in your stall.
Personally, I would go with Pulverizer. But, in the case where you don't have black hole (Dunno why) or you're afraid of lacking a bit of quanta and don't mind sacrificing a bit of reusable PC, go with SoFo.
