Confirmed: The attack AND the HP stay in 499. They don't go bigger than that, they stay in 499 in the same moment you put the BB or RE.

I have had 22/22 Elite Pegasus many times, because my alt has Diving Pegasus as its main deck.

I also have had 26 attack Air Dragon with dive with DwinMutants deck in PvP2. I couldn't use its dive ability because my opponent died the same turn I got it (I allready had 2 mutant Air Dragons out).
