I second this proposition.
I used to be a casual player. I didn't grind or even play T50. Heck, I only played level 3/5/FG on an occasional basis (losing loads of time to level 5 and FG), making the one thing I ever truly grinded was...the Oracle. At one point, I felt...desperate. I had a modified SG-style FG killer, but it was dated to the moon and back. I lost constantly to FG, and even though I could beat level 3's, it took me an eternity (speaking of which, eternity was one of the only rares I had - pulverizer being the other). I felt lost in the world of Elements.
But then, I decided that it was time to grind T50. I found Vreely's Lava Golem deck (unupped) and started playing T50 with it. At first, I wasn't do that great, but I was winning some, and managed to get one of each rare. After a few more days of grinding, I was able to wield the deck with near perfection. I could beat speed rainbows. I could finish off T50 farms with great ease, and in those few days, I managed to get at least every single rare except for Fahrenheit (the only weapon I do not need at the moment). I got 6 Shard of Gratitudes, ready to be upgraded and put into a CC? Why Bother? deck. I got 6 Artic Squids, which I can now abuse use for mono-water. I got a few of each of the rare weapons, weapons I previously thought would be unobtainable without beating FG's.
I could write a lot more about my success in T50, but I'll let another person take their turn - for now.
