Tis sad, but understandable. I would have been in the WAR from the get-go, but my schedule prevented me from making a committment I was unsure I could keep. Thus I felt it best not to commit to something I might have had to drop. Since then my schedule opened up and when Underworld kicked in, I was prevented from joining because I did not open myself up for auction. Seems I'll have to wait until the next WAR to participate

I'm in the same boat.  I didn't have time at the start of the war, but now I have lots of time ...

one last thing though, i thought you can only pick replacement from those who actually applied for the war
was there a special exemption to Team Water that will allow them to pick just about anyone because from the responses here that seems to be the case

I don't see how this excludes people who didn't enter the auction.  If you didn't enter the auction then you definitely weren't bought during the auction phase.  I do understand why those not in the auction may be excluded(some elaborate plan to get a great player for 6 cards.)  I would be interested to see how this is interpreted and wouldn't necessarily count out those that weren't in the auction.  I can see it going either way.

Yep, that's exactly why the phrase was added.  A general can't be allowed to pick up a player for six cards who would have sold for more than six were s/he in the auction.

Same rule obviously applies here.

I admire water
I will not lie about water being my favourite element or something like that because everyone knows Aether is
but water has more potential than it is given credit for...
Water is the Beginning of Life , 2/3 of Earth , extinguisher of Fire , brings the blessings of Light (Holy Water ftw), the cause of a thunderstorm (Aether , Air ), with which it wreaks havoc (Entropy ) and causes Death , it can even weather the thickest of defenses with Gravity   over Time , and you never know what lurks in its depths (Darkness )
so beware of its dangers
but I am willing to embrace the water, to feel it flow through my body, and I will harness the power for the eventual victory of Water.


If I am picked for water...


Water is one of the best stall/control elements in the game, though we will sometimes get bad draws, and begin with a shaky start, we will gain control of the field, and go for the bigger victory. As a good pvp player I will freeze(stop) opponents in their tracks, gain control of the field, and take the win for us.
