That would mean that submissions are based on sessions, which is the single most stupid way to try to prevent multiple submissions from the same player. I thought its at least IP based.
I suspect this highscore system was originally designed with non-persistant games in mind - person A plays the game, racks up a highscore. Person A then plays a second time, beats his old score, resubmits. That way all his scores submitted are legitimate. Of course, this is a poor implementation if the game persists across sessions.

2)  Farms.  I understand that there are some people in t50 who could care less about putting up farms for other players, but for those of you who do, this causes a potential problem when trying to find a farm which meets the needs of the community.  It's true, you can have several different farms up when resubmitting your position, but does this necessarily mean that every single rare will be accounted for by doing this?  There are several t50 who have been knocked out of the list who used to take farm requests regularly; this latest scheme has the ability to be responsible for breaking down this system.
As far as I know this is false. Every different submission stored in the highscore list from one account, also refers to the same account. With multiple submissions this means that they will all hold the players current deck.

So several different farms is impossible from one account.

in other words arcade-like scoring

btw heres the API for the scoreboard if i'm not mistaken
http://en.mochimedia.com/developers/scores.html
http://en.mochimedia.com/support/dev_docs#MochiServices
(under Leaderboards)

it says the scoreboard API enable customization but how much of it is not known
least not me since i'm too lazy to register and figure it out meself

You can view highscores list without submitting. List doesn't show up (for me) at
http://elementsthegame.com/ or http://elementsthegame.net/ but it becomes visible at
http://elementsthegame.com/spectate site (by clicking the black area below the "Comments" box). Some bugs must be causing these problems, since they used to be visible at game sites earlier.
check out my findings here (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,11857.msg157044#msg157044) and zanz reply on the next page
basically zanz removed the widget (which displayed scoreboard on the front page) to resolve the issue
So that's what happened. Seems logical solution for that old problem.

Could that widget now be added to some other page? (For example making new site ww.elementsthegame/highscores.html) Then people could check their scores easily from that page, without the need of submitting their scores multiple times.

Another "easy fix" I already mentioned on the other topic, would be changing the "Highscores button" on the game so, that it could be used only once a week. (The code that allows using "Oracle button" only once a day should be easily changed to do the job.)

Well this multiple entry thing happened to me aswell.

I´m not switching the PC or anything and just play the game whenever i feel like it.
At the end of a session i tend to submit the score (usually once a day).

This worked out without much problems untill i submitted a score that was below the last submitted score (after a false god session for example -> then i got an additional entry).
So i avoided doing that, but recently multiple entries showed up for "no reason" during the last couple days.
I am using Firefox and i made it clear cookies etc. after each session (window closed) so i guess that could have to do with it.
Guess i should just submit only once a week till this is fixed.

I totally understand the people who should be in the list, but aren´t because of this.
It kinda beats the purpose of a "high score list" when you update it just once a week though.
