Nobody else wants to comment on Kael Hate's grouping suggestion? He's absolutely brilliant! Best grouping so far, in my opinion. It's so.. scientific. Anything that's based on math and physics can't go wrong.
Thanks for your support.
Maybe I need a fancier arty picture?

[shameless self-promotion]

Guys, you need to read my story. I'm sure that after reading it, you would find my grouping making that much more sense.

To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

I like your picture.  The concept of being centered around pure energy is cool.  I just dislike how "pure energy" is closest to darkness/water.

LOL, Definite reasoning for a better picture.
All the elements within the same ring are equidistant from the origin pure energy. The distance from the origin is variable in so long as that the above rule is maintained.

The rings can spin in any direction and even lay flat over each other and occupy the same space as long as the 4 elements on each ring maintain the same distance from the core and their alignment within their ring. This is representive of the 3 dimensions of existence.

Ie if Darkness is 1km from Origin, Light is the same distance in the opposite direction and time and aether are at a cross plane to that also at 1km. It is an ultimate balance within the Syzygy.

Has anybody thought of 6 different groups? each element would have an ally and 2 opposing elements.
 :death  :life
 :darkness  :light

 :water  :fire
 :earth  :air

 :entropy  :gravity
 :time  :aether

OR

 :entropy  :gravity
 :aether  :time

6 groups, 2 in each group, each group with opposing group. name suggestions are needed.
Zanz has already given us the element rivals (IE. Water-fire) and they are supposed to be on opposite sides of the arrangement.

He didn't make any mistakes, Wisemage. None of the elemental opposites are paired together.

If it has not been suggested before, I think Time would be better classified for Decay, while Earth can fit well with Order. Well, maybe Switch Earth for Light, because Earth may fit Creation more. And "The Order of Light" just sounds cool, in a cliche kind of way.
