Status of the game?

Soooo what is happening to the game right now? How long is it going to be on hiatus?
Does Zanzarino still care for the game? Are we going to be cut anytime?

So many questions, but I really hope we aren't abandoned. Maybe some day soon?

Translation: The game hasn't been updated in roughly four years. Zanz has maintained the game in the face of major issues, thankfully, but has not made any improvements or communicated with the community. We don't know if or when development will ever resume.

Development is dead unless otherwise noted, but my understanding is that Zanz also intends to leave the servers going as well.  We aren't getting cut off (that I know of or even suspect) but we also have almost no hope of future updates.

Did you know at one point Chess had dice for random events.

Games have stages, we are past the stage of discovery, deck discovery, and game modification.
We have had the same version for 4 years now, now we are at the point of perfecting play, were the best play is in competitions, challenges, wars, and events. 

It's actually a great thing and yes this is a new thought for me.

For what it's worth, Zanzarino is still around to fix up the servers when accounts have their progress reset. That's more than you can say for chess. I promoted a pawn to a queen one game, and the very next game I played, it reverted back to a pawn!

The weirdest thing isn't that he abandoned the game, it's that he did so right in the middle of probably the biggest upgrade that the game has ever had.  To the point where the Trainer no longer mimics the actual game, but instead is what the update would have been like, had it been finished.
