Hello everyone.  I took a long period of time off from the game, and now that I'm back, I notice some big changes.  Primarily the singularity card that just pops up unknowingly.  I've done some searches, but to no avail, I can't seem to find an answer to what causes this.  Is it just random or does a certain action by me or the opponent cause it?  Thanks in advance

If you play 2 Super-Novas or 3 Novas in one turn, a Singularity appears on your side of the field. Each additional Nova | Super-Nova in the same turn makes a 2nd, 3rd and 4th (and 5th) one.

You can have fun with these, one guy made a hypothetical OTK out of these. But it's best to mutate them immediately.

Though you are allowed to play 2 Nova cards and 1 Supernova in one turn.

By the way: You may sacrifice a singularity (Immolation, Catapult) for it's one of your creatures, but using Antimatter on the singularity makes only sense, if you have a Maxwell's Demon to get rid of it. The singularity regains its minus attack, before it attacks and therefore will heal the opponent and damage you.

Fun is trying to make a Singularity out of yourr oppenents creatures by using Antimatter and Liquid Shadow on them.

So far ... VanWinkle

Artizam, the Nova and SN cards warn you not to use too many in one turn.  They don't tell you about the consequence (the Singularity card), but the Singularity didn't exactly appear "unknowingly".

Interesting, I've read the warning too, but I didn't know about the singularities, have to check if I can do something useful with them :)

So irritating when you switch tabs during a game to do something and you forget how many SNs/novas you've played and you trigger a singularity that destroys your game. Ah well, there's a price to be paid for multitasking.

Cardplayer, this may help.  Whenever you reach the limit of Nova/SN cards in a turn, the game puts a shadow of the Nova card in your card tray as a warning.  Watch for that, and multitask away!

The exception to this is a combination of Novae with Supernova. You can play 2 of the former with 1 upped in any order, but the graphics are added after the second Nova or first Supernova, nonetheless.
It is still a very useful feature. =)

Okay, cool.  I don't have any SN yet, so I haven't had the opportunity to experiment with that.  For the rabid multitasker, though, "better safe than sorry" probably is the way to go. ;)

I know that, but it always sucks when I'm totally not paying attention and absentmindedly play another SN, I'm fixed the mistake in some cases but killing the singularity instantly, but others are just not able to be recovered from.
