I've played two games now where players are able to go into the negatives with quanta. How the heck are they doing this?

Did you have an exclamation mark on the top of the game? The desynchronization error is known to cause this.

...It's either a glitch or hack then, and both are things you shouldn't be doing or can't be doing.

It was a desync, he isn't trying to do it, its an error in the game where you and your opponent disconnect and play separate matches. Its a rather annoying error that ruins tournaments. Really it wasn't your fault and it wasn't his.
