Second Upgrade

The developers aren't doing much these days, to me. unless zanz has a second game I don't know about... Or unless they are very highly selective.

1) new patch just came out (along with 2 hotfix) and zanz has been communicating with the community about the games development prove that you're wrong
2) if you dont know that, dont talk as if you have been here for long (these days)

I thought the devs were being paid for the work! With our donation money! 

if you have played any other free online game before you would know that is not how it works
donation doesnt mean the dev(s) owe you anything in return
if it specifically mention that donations are to be used for server cost, thats all there is to it
if and whenever zanz decide to stop providing for this game, you cant complaint about it
"but i just donated $10 to this game, wtf?" then you're not donating for the right cause bub


you often get newbs coming in giving their new and fresh ideas although most of the time its not the first time. its a common thing in this forum, i get that
but not often you get newbs undermining the works the developer had put into this free online game by stating as if they know what they're talking about and that pisses me off

Don't talk as though you know everything when you don't actually know anything.

The people "with colored names" are the forum staff, which are technically independent from the game. For example, SG is the forum administrator, while the Wiki Editors (including me) take care of the wiki. Zanzarino is the only developer in this game (well, we used to have Chriskang, but I heard he got hit by a bus then eaten by a raptor).

What I've thought about is not a uber-upgrade that could be done after the first upgrade but an alternative upgrade.

Not necessarily more expensive than the one we know, but an alternative one. If we call the actual upgrade A, wa can call the new one B.

If you really think that grinding is harmful for this game, let's assume that B is cheaper, maybe 750g.

if you express the difference between an acutal unupped card and an upped one, like the horned frog, the actual upgrade A do this :

upgrade cost : 1k5
quanta cost : no change.
Strenght : +2.
Stamina : no change.

Imagine that upgrade B is some thing like this :

(1)
upgrade cost : 750
quanta cost : no change.
Strenght : no change.
Stamina : +1

or it could be this :

(2)
upgrade cost : 750
quanta cost : +2
Strenght : +2
Stamina : +1

or ... whatever, the ideas are not the problem ^^

You can first do upgrade A or B, and then complete with the other to have a totally upgraded card :

Horned Frog : 2 3/3
Horned Frog B : 4 5/4
Horned Frog A (giant frog) : 2 5/3
Horned Frog A+B : 4 7/4

(just an example with the second example of upgrade B)

So with only one more upgrade, a single card could have 4 different states.
The reduced cost should allowed new players to improve their deck faster and don't disgust them from the game.

I see two thing by the way :
-> more and more card names to find (not really difficult but annoying)
-> it coul be hard to implement for Zanz, i don't know.

i like this. it would add a cheaper upgrade to keep noobs and casual players interested as well as a more expensive upgrade to keep vets interested. not to mention more possible card choices/ decks.

I love this as well. But it would be kind of hard to implement the names, we can't keep them Horned Frog, Giant Frog, Horned Frog B, and Giant Frog B

One new upgrade makes us think of 2 names, which, as stated before:

Well, I don't think that the problem is really to find name, there's a big community and i'm sure it would participate and find something.

All B-upgrades don't have to be implemented at the same time and some polls could be done, that not the point either.


What I thought about is that, even to do ONE B-upgrade like that, the consequences on zanz's code can be HUGE.
