Score Per Game (SPG)

In my 4+years of playing this game and being involved in this Community, I don't think that I've ever seen anyone look at statistics in quite this way. Please forgive me if they have.
If not, what are your opinions as to what they might reveal? I thought about this a bit last night but I'll hold off on my thoughts until later.

The other night, ITR and I were looking at our accounts and how many games we've played, won, lost etc. While he has won more games than I've even played, I am past him in score. I then thought of my path in this game and what Level AI I farmed, decks used, things like that.
I then thought of SPG (Score Per Game). What might it tell me about my journey?

Score / (Won + Lost) = SPG

So in my example: 1484445 / (12016 + 9515) = 68.94 spg

His results surprised me a bit and got me to thinking what caused this difference? AI Level played, Deck choice, PvP? What was it?

I have thought's on this and would love to hear yours. Post your stats and lets see if we can determine what this stat is representative of.

First off, I think it has something to do with that 500 hp EM thing you use.

Secondly, I don't know how to post pictures like that yet but I have    133,345 score    3,852 wins    1,193 losses    and if matters I have 9,726

Huh, interesting. I've spent so much time considering things in terms of score or electrum per unit time that I've never really considered how games were weighted.

I have a much smaller SPG in comparison here which is almost completely attributed to the countless games that I used to play when gathering data for TTW Studies as well as mindless grinding with USEM back before the Arena made AI3 score grinding obsolete. And then there's also the fact that I don't really use the trainer for testing decks in PvP events or just for fun, which means I accumulate a lot of losses while optimizing deck builds. I guess shard farming in Bronze/Silver also makes up some of that, though I would think that would comprise 1000 games at most.

However, I will say that I'm somewhat surprised that my Gold and Platinum Arena farming with SPlat and Poison Dials hasn't brought that amount up more since I used both of those for thousands of games as well. I guess my SPG would probably be 60-80% of what it is now without those.

Mine is terribly low, 1008209/(28193+10521) = 26.04 spg

I mainly decktest vs AI4 and Silver with decks that are not made for PVE, which gives me a pretty low winrate compared to how much I should be getting against that level of AI. I don't really use trainer because testing in the main game still gives me a bit of gold and score anyway. Maybe my SPG would be what willng3 would get if you take away the Gold and Platinum farming.

I have three accounts, might as well dump them all their stats here:

171370/(3728+3436)≈23.9 spg

I've spent roughly half a year doing pre-Plat/FG farming and roughly half a year doing Plat/FG farming on this account. It's worth noting I don't play on this much lately, save for a few PvP deck tests.

Alt:


16367/(951+495)≈11.3 spg

This thing's still stuck on Bronze/Silver for rares, but it can do Gold to some extent. I have no idea how old this thing is, though it was definitely made after March, as it disappeared on Black Wednesday.

NBC:


4334/(436+255)≈6.3 spg

This thing's stuck on farming FG's with subpar farmers and Bronze.

SPG = 159873 / (4181 + 2602) ~= 23.570 (to 3 decimal points)

Might have to do with the fact that I decktest dubious concepts on AI2 to check whether the quanta flows smoothly enough to be worth developing further.

I think I did a lot more FGs/plat arena than most people.  Back in the day when most people swore by ai3 as the best score grind, I was still doing halfbloods and FGs, and the old top50 when that existed, and then did a lot of platinum arena.  I do have a lot more losses and a lot less score, probably because I was going against higher level opponents.

Well, if you were insane enough to keep two instances of the game open and overwrite your save data whenever you won/lost against everything excluding the Rank 1 (and then only when you EM'd it) in Platinum league then eventually your SPG would be equivalent to however much score is obtained by EMing the Rank 1 in Platinum League. But since this value changes frequently, I don't believe there would be a set max SPG.
