Goodbye, and hope you'll come back.  While life is a pain, it'll fix itself in time with a little effort. Life will definitley get better! :)

Come on you are too serious dude. This is suppose to be a casual game :-\
TIME is around us. It flows silently, trying to take everything away from us.

the game may be casual but life is very real. as jmtd rightly said, if you feel burned out then step back a while, get through your tough spots, the come back to the community. although i might advise you to spend more time on the forums instead of less because, being a community, the people will help you and your friends will always listen (or read rather) what you have to say and some of the older (age wise) members who have been through the same stuff as you may provide excellent council. i, and all the others wish you luck and a safe journey through you life.

If you arent going to be around alot, then dont become master.
I have more integrity than to just give up.
The greater integrity is realizing you can't give something 100% and handing it over to someone more capible.  If you truely don't have time for elements if you lose, then you definately don't have time if you win either.  I am not however advocating you quit the trials or elements in general.  Quite the opposite.  I'm REALLY busy right now with everything in my life, but I make time to stop by for a bit each day and check on the community.  Your issues may be that you've become burned out.  If so, take a few weeks lay back from elements and then when you return the game will be more enjoyable.  With life, you have time for whatever you make time for.
Great opinion [: but really, if I win trials, i'll have a place in the community and a reason to stay but if i lose, im a no one, like xdude said.. and therefore I see no reason why I would need to stick around.
i disagree - you are are well known face here around. even if you wont win the trials, you will be always welcome.

anyways... take care & good luck ... and cu

Sorry you may have to go. Remember that you are important to the community even if you don't become a master. Hope you stay because I had fun battling you.
Somehow still around, somewhat

There are a heck of a lot of nice things in this community ... that's why I'm here. :)

But one very negative aspect is that for some reason folks tend to feel that they have to "be" someone or else they're worthless. I don't know if this is because of the inordinate number of "titles" given out or not ... But my impression has not been that there are more cliquish groupies here than other similar websites, so I don't know why the pressure on being "important" would be any greater.

For any of you who feel unimportant ... Take a breath and realize we're at a fan website dedicated to a video game. Titles aren't that important and if you don't have one you are no less valuable a member of the community. Take me as an example if that's helpful! I sure as heck am not going to be getting a title any time soon. :P

Lots of the folks who have sensed themselves pariahed by a lack of importance of late I actually personally consider solid members of the community with a lot to offer. Ryan, you are no exception and I hope you realize that you should feel welcome here. There is no shame if you feel like people want xdude to be the Light Master, for example ... the fact is that you are in the running and everyone -- including xdude -- respects your skills and your community participation enough that you've been recognized as a potential master.

Life can be stressful, tough, upsetting ... hopefully games are a distraction and this community is one where you can feel relaxed. If you need some time off, take it ... but you should never feel like you need to impress someone here or that there's pressure to "perform." It's a game. We're here to have fun. And we like you. :)

i am probably a better example than vali...
i have very low karma, a lot of posts, but since they are grouped in just a few very popular threads that i posted a lot in, it's not that much
i am barely known...
but i am still here, and will be here for fake god knows how long..
