There are a heck of a lot of nice things in this community ... that's why I'm here.

But one very negative aspect is that for some reason folks tend to feel that they have to "be" someone or else they're worthless. I don't know if this is because of the inordinate number of "titles" given out or not ... But my impression has not been that there are more cliquish groupies here than other similar websites, so I don't know why the pressure on being "important" would be any greater.
For any of you who feel unimportant ... Take a breath and realize we're at a fan website dedicated to a video game. Titles aren't that important and if you don't have one you are no less valuable a member of the community. Take me as an example if that's helpful! I sure as heck am not going to be getting a title any time soon.

Lots of the folks who have sensed themselves pariahed by a lack of importance of late I actually personally consider solid members of the community with a lot to offer. Ryan, you are no exception and I hope you realize that you should feel welcome here. There is no shame if you feel like people want xdude to be the Light Master, for example ... the fact is that you are in the running and everyone -- including xdude -- respects your skills and your community participation enough that you've been recognized as a potential master.
Life can be stressful, tough, upsetting ... hopefully games are a distraction and this community is one where you can feel relaxed. If you need some time off, take it ... but you should never feel like you need to impress someone here or that there's pressure to "perform." It's a game. We're here to have fun. And we like you.
