I go by my general saying of "It's only if you decide it is."

It's only real if you decide it's real.

The line is drawn by you yourself, what is real and what isn't is up to you to decide.

But it's VERY hard to decide that something is not real.

Actually, Zanz decides, when he makes the cards, or the game logic, or the game in itself... So maybe if we asked him he would give us the "right" answer :D

it's funny how you guys argue about drowning frogs when this game has smiting people with fire bolts and summoning dragons

It's all predetermined logic by Zanz I would think. I'm sure there is a certain "realm" that all this fantasy is based in so it is in a way "realistic" by being realistic to the realm it is in.
That is just my stance

You here a lot, especially in the game suggestion forums that something just "isnt realistic" Such as a frog dieing by flooding. Then people are told "Its a game, it doesnt have to be realistic" which I agree with... to a point. A certain level of realism is good for games. People should be able to easily use common world knowledge to understand games. for example. Touching a buzzsaw while its running should hurt.... bad (unless your metal or chuck norris). Especially if you thrust your face into it (unless your chuck norris). A game shouldnt be so unrealistic that when I touch a buzzsaw a start springing flowers from my head. Thats just my 2 cents though

so what is your take?
It's just poor naming on the card's part (flood)

Don't think of it as a flood drowning a frog, but a tsunami created by a magic man magically appearing ripping the whatever aquatic animal to shreds.
