My analysis: You people think too much about something that is really simple. The simple thing: There is a point when you have generate so much quanta that you cannot possibly spend it all. That is the Quantum Overload Point.
artimies, all you said was "QOP is QOP." We're not trying to name this concept, we're trying to apply it to deckbuilding.

I think that for stalls, the point where you generate too much quanta is right at when you can play enough cards to stop whatever deck you're facing.

I think that for stalls, the point where you generate too much quanta is right at when you can play enough cards to stop whatever deck you're facing.
The only problem with your idea patch is that it varies depending on the duel.  I had to set a more concrete "win" condition; I can't test a method based off of something that involves just a protected Diamond Shield or other times 5 Sanctuaries to stay alive.

But I'm just saying, the point where you generate more than enough quanta to win is linked to what deck you're facing. Anyways, we could probably figure the lowest QOP for a stall to be "good" (so stall vs. rush) by analyzing costs of creatures and costs of CC spells.

i like this! however, decks using bolts/lances/etc... do have a quantum overload point- when the cards in their hand are enough to wipeout their opponent, after that, QOP doesn't really matter anyways, unless their opponent has a reflecting sheild.
The laziest elements player this side of one thousand posts.

Every deck has one, believe it or not.

Rush decks generally hit their QOP incredibly quickly. Stalls usually take much, much, longer, if they even have one. (Some don't).
hmm :P that doesn't seem right.

Huge posts btw ^^. Sadly, these things are too difficult to use on most decks.

Not convinced mine does :P, cant remember the last game i wasnt running out of time quanta. .
