I quit when I KNOW for a fact I'm going to lose. Why waste time? ![Azn ^-^](https://elementscommunity.org/forum/Smileys/solosmileys/azn.gif)
Maybe because quitting just before you lose wastes the time of your opponent because he has to wait for the AI to take over?
It's also the cowards way out. Real men (and women) take the loss as real men (and women).
You're confusing quitting with disconnecting. When you press "Menu" and "Quit," the opponent gets a message "Your Opponent has Left the Game. Taking over in 10 seconds..."
So it actually ends up being faster for your opponent since they then don't have to wait the 20-30 seconds each turn for you to play.
As to it being the cowards way out, you can see it that way, but I don't. I see it being the smart way out. Sure, I COULD watch myself get owned, but I really don't get the point of wasting time.
In tournaments, if I know I'm going to lose, I just ask the person to agree to a loss for me so we can move on with it. There's no point in making both of us waste time. And if it's on the last turn, I leave to get a head start (though only a small one) on switching my deck so if he doesn't change he doesn't need to wait as long.
