That is not true, ice bolt can kill creatures.

So, water now has:
Freeze/congeal (from freeze, squid, ice bolt or shield)
Direct damage, opponent or creature (Ice bolt)
Lobotomize (Mind flayer)
Anti-Poison (Purify)
Healing (Purify)
Pillar destruction (Trident/Poseidon)
Infection (Toadfish)
Instant kill with air (shockwave)

I agree about the Holy Light and Luciferin comment. I've never seen anyone choose Holy Light over things like Heal, Shard of Divinity, Shard of Gratitude, etc.
I've used Holy Flash on occasion.  It can be used with Miracle for EMing without any other heals.  Also, Holy Light is handy in a speed Rainbow for either topping up health or getting rid of pesky pests, virii, dragons, etc.
Often at times when you're just using a card to EM, it just takes up space, though.  ;)

But yes, less Holy Flash, more Purify time talk?  :)

Holy Flash can give you EM against weaker opponents.
I think , it would not be OP, if the upgraded version costed 1 random quantum.

Purify no longer clears entire poison and unupped version just removes one poison counter, so I'd call it a nerf. Also, after this change goes live, there will be practically no way to stop poison, as even using 6 upped purifies (which I doubt anyone would use) you still can counter only 12 poison.

With the potential of removing only 12 poison, I'd still say that Purify won't be used much, because it's not really worth it. I guess you can use it like an indestructible shard, but healing only 2 makes me want to reconsider.

If your opponent is packing 6 deadly poisons then you can only remove 2/3s of it.

If you would read the card, it does say "Removes poison status from yourself", so I believe it's a bug that Zanz is working out. Which is further supported by earlier posts in this thread.

Poison is slow as is and the old purify was completely unfair to poison.  I like the way the new one works.  As someone who has played with poison a bit, building up 18 poison counters only to have them removed leaves you with virtualy no options and you will likely lose.  The old version was basically to poison as RoF is to a field of low hp creatures.  If this guy becomes mainstream, poison decks will likely suffer more than in the current environment.

If its still not enough it could be modified to something like remove 3-4 poison counters, but only 2 healing or something like that.

I not only read the card, but also verified this in the trainer. Things like that can be hardly a bug, and certainly not the type that requires long working out. Still, it might be Zanzarino just playing with the idea.

I agree it should be +2 both upped and unupped.  At +2, purify will give 42 total healing with 6 SoG and 6 purify.  This will make some insane staiiling decks with perm shield and octapus, completely ignoring what it can do poison.  With these effects what it currently does to poison is fine.
