Playing against yourself with 2 accounts. Ban?

I know, that it is possible to play against yourself with 1 PC and 2 accounts in PvP Duel, with 2 tabs open. Can it result in a ban (or 2 bans), because of a game with 2 "players" with the same IP ?

I open this topic, because I want to know, if it could be good to have a second smaller own account, to test things. And I think many players don´t know that possibility.

I've done this myself to test things as well, like desync testing and random experiments.
I haven't gotten banned for it, so I don't think so.
But I could be wrong....

Well, this is one of those ethics things. The more accounts you make, the more clogged up the servers get and the slower the server runs. People will sometimes do this on purpose in order to test for bugs and other things, so that can be good. It really depends on the intended purpose, but you really shouldn't make them just for the heck of it.

Yeah I wouldnt think you'd get banned for it, as it doesnt really provide any score/money/wins advantage since duels dont count those stats. I just wouldnt make more than 2 ever since there's no real need to, but just 2 is probably fine.

I once did this to try mindgate vs mindgate (as in accumulating 10k+ quanta)

i HIGHLY doubt having multi accounts can result in ban. sg herself opened an experiment that required a new account.

Yeah, the best part of Elements that almost no other browser game (or any computer game, for that matter) out there has is that multi-accounts is not abusable. And we have enough players that playing yourself in PvP1-2 is not profitable.

I tried this before. Neither of my accounts were banned, though one was deleted later for inactivity.

PvP Duel (not PvP 1 or PvP 2 mind you) means you gain nothing by playing with yourself so i dont see why that would be a problem, unless of course you entered an event/tournament with multiple accounts just to have better chance at winning prizes

as for PvP 1 / PvP 2, you cant choose who you play with so its not entirely abusable either

imo multi account here is only an issue if you tried to bypass rules infraction (banned account; game, not the forum of course) but only zanz can say for certain

The only thing is, playing in pvp 1 with 234135 accounts at once just might not be allowable though.
That might overload the servers and I'm sure you'll play yourself a bit too often for rewards.
So around 2 is okay, but much more than 5 might not be a good idea....

Dont think you get banned for it... it's one of the best way to test your own deck apart from trainer...since you can try it against SPECIFIC deck. So, yeah, enjoy the lag...lol
