Question about gaining electrum / ai5

Since I've been reading the forums a bit more I have read in a couple places that ai5 is the least played, is that true?  Ai5 is all I play really, I get 280 electrum from an elemental master with 500 hp, each game lasts about 5 minutes average, and I win on average 50% (it's more then that, but I'll just say 50% for now).  Not counting card rolls or non-elemental master won matches that is still 1 upped card an hour easy.

What would be a better way, or what is the more popular way, to gain electrum?

Playing FG earns more electrum as winning cards is much more likely, as they usually have one particularly theme card they love going to, and they are all upgraded so selling one is ~1100 electrum

I understand that, and I play them when I have a pet to increase my chances but I don't win very often against them.

No.

You can get rares from AI3, T50, AI5, and FG spins -- it all depends on the contents of the decks you win against.

The only ways to win upped cards from spins are from AI5 (fairly low chance) and FGs (every card you win there will be upped).
