There are only 3 cards i can think of that should recieve the effect.  Chrysora, Toadfish, and Flying Arsenic.

And if this were to happen it buffs the already overpowered speed poison deck.  So i disagree.

what i was thinking regarding the toxic effect is its a passive effect, which means it cant be used. it a toxic creature is devoured, poison the eater. nothing more

it kinda does, it only counters mutated eaters, oty, and scarab (so far). and it poisons creatures, not the elemental. it wouldnt realy buff the death deck only. it can be integrated into other elements. who said it has to be just death.

In real life sure, but otys eat fire, pointy swords and electricity (sparks) and seem to come away pretty ok. Maybe zan should add heart burn effects when an oty devours a Fire spirit? Or the effect Malnourishment if it eats nothing at all? Actually, I kinda like Malnourishment - 3 turns without eating and it dies. Still.. I think The poison idea would only raise further questions.

in real life, if you eat something poisonous, does it not poison you? i think you know where im going with this... if an oty or scarab eats a creature with a poison counter on it, shouldnt the oty itself get poisoned, or even a creature the deals poison, such as parasite, or virus. am i the only one who has seen this?
Hm.

I would almost rather just leave the OTY alone and see a new gravity card called Greater Otyugh or new water card called Amoeba that has a similar effect but absorbs all status effects like poison, aflatoxin, adrenaline, and momentum (good and bad effects).  I'd throw immortal into that list, but... uh... you can't eat them.
