How do the Oracle's False God predictions work? Today the Oracle told me I would fight Paradox next, so I changed my deck appropriately, and ended up facing Seism. There was a couple hour break in between going to the Oracle and starting the battle.

Does closing the game erase the Oracle's prediction? So if we spin a god we don't want to fight, we could close the window, reopen, and fight a different one?

closing causes you to lose your pet and prediction. If you close then re-open you will face a random FG like usual
