 :darkness it might be also that after 18 years of deck building experience, i know how to use 40 cards to efficiently achieve my goals, and the right ratio of the cards in that deck to get what i want when i need it. but with my 40 cards, i get a great start, and survive mid-late game, when/if anything stops me long enough to make it that far. but i know in this game statistically 30 cards should be what you need. especially if your using the speedbow, and rush earth decks. but even when i ran speedbow i had to run 37 cards just to get the first turns i wanted out of them. however the fate egg/shard deck can run at 30 cards. but after about 6-7 turns you loose. unless exceptionally lucky. and thats only if you get lucky to have the whole combo in your opening hand. and not multi copies of half of it. and like i said in my post, "in my experience",.
but seriously, i feal as though these posts have gotten off topic, guy needs help with un-upped rainbow decks. there should be another topic started if we wish to continue this discussion based mostly on the common difficulties most folk have on being able to build efficiently.

If you want to choose to follow your past experiences with the RNG and how you interpret it, which have no statistical support behind them, instead of following statistics probability calculations, go ahead. At this point really nothing could change you.

As for going off topic, I really don't see the problem. We're on a thread based off of a misconception supported by false statistics that wouldn't even be valuable if they were true. The original poster has received his answer and it's not really a very active thread.

The game is a bit more complex then less cards = more likely you draw the card you need.

Although in the unupgraded land a 30 card mono deck is very fast, there is a lot more to it.

First, there are two pressures not just one pressure to speed.
1.) Is the deck odds, but 2.) is the electrum needed and cast cost of cards.

Second, there is a mulligan that changes the odds of the first draw.

Third, there are cards that effect both, time and electrum, thus effecting the odds of a card in play drastically.
This obviously changes deck dynamics, being able to draw 3 or 4 cards, drastically changes odds of a deck

Fourth, you can deck out and so smaller is only better if you can get a quick kill in.

To make the point, I decided to throw together a 0 real thought 40 card unupped/ norare except a single weapon as if per quest bow deck just for this thread...
So I selected 6 novas, some quantum pillars and then proceeded to just select various cards that cost very little that might make something come together, tossed in a fractal and tried it out.  I did 10 games against AI3, 0 were EM, 4 easy wins, 3 were close wins, 2 deck out where close to deck out wins, and 1 loss ... not too shabby, wouldn't hold against a mono poison death deck, but could probably beat mono frog deck or mono fire depending or draw order of both parties.
