Newbie looking for electrum farming advice https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=10833.msg133167#msg133167

Hi!

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this thread, if not I would like to apologies in advance.

I've read every topic in the newbie thread, and a few pages of the wiki, but I'm still not satisfied with my results, I'm looking for some advice and help.

I recently started to play elements again, on a new account. I managed to collect a mono aether deck
Code: [Select]
61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61s 61s 61s 61s 61s 61s 61t 61t 61t 61t 61t 61t 61v 61v 61v
a mono life deck
Code: [Select]
5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bu 5bu 5bu 5bu 5bu 5bu 5c0 5c0 5c0 5c0 5c7 5c7 5c7 5c7 5c7
mono darkness
Code: [Select]
5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5up 5uq 5ur 5ut 5ut 5ut 5ut 5ut 5ut 5uv 5uv 5uv 5uv 5uv
and most of Scaredgirls Rainbow deck (some of the "needed" upgrades are still missing).
Code: [Select]
4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 52n 52r 55r 592 5c6 5c6 5oj 5rl 5ro 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 5up 621 621 621 6qq 6u6 74b 7q5 7q5 7q5
I like to play elements while I'm multitasking, so I'm looking for a way to farm electrums in a steady and non frustrating way. Currently I get my ass kicked (most of the time) in AI4 and loose more than 50% against AI5. And AI3 doesn't pay much (no rare cards etc).

Could you guys give me some tips on either a new approach to the game, or by tweaking one of my decks, or by suggesting a new deck to me.

I currently have 1100 electrums to play around with.

Besides those three decks I've tried a Firefly Queen Air/life deck which failed catastrophically and a mono darkness deck (which I wasn't able to make working).

I just want to point out that i was in your situation not to long ago. The difference is, I decided to grind on AI3 with a shrieker rush deck and now have a mostly upgraded shrieker rush deck, scaredgirl's rainbow deck with the needed upgrades, at least 3 of every weapon, and 4 miracles. I also havent even been grinding AI3 for that long because i do it for an hour or two, or until i upgrade 1-2 cards and its only been a bit more than a week. So grinding AI3 is always an option even though farming FGs is better

If you use a fractal vampire deck or any deck that heals you, getting elemental mastery on AI3 isn't that bad.

This thread might help: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,8813.0.html
Thanks, this is a great resource.

Thank you for the encouragement, but I don't think that I've the patience to farm AI3 over-and-over-and-over again.   :(

I searched the forum and the wiki for such a deck and I've found a few variants. As far as I can see there might be several counters (tho I'm not sure if AI3 uses any of those) against it. If I have the electrums I'll check it tho, looks interesting. :)

If you're looking for a good healing deck, Vampires and Andren Staffs are the 2 of the best.

fractal vamps...

Code: [Select]
5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5uo 5up 5up 5up 5uq 5uq 5ur 5ut 5ut 5ut 5ut 5ut 5ut 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 622 622 622 622
this is what i've used when i first started playing
it has a good win % (with EM) against AI3, T50 and even HBs
i'm not sure if the decklist has upgraded cards since i just copy pasted the list but heres the link to the actual article on the old wiki: DARKNESS FTW (http://elementsthegame.wikia.com/wiki/Devourer/Vampire_Army_Rush)

Code: [Select]
5uo 7t4 7t4 7t4 7t4 7t4 7t4 7t4 7t4 7t6 7t6 7t6 7t6 7t9 7t9 7ta 7ta 7tb 7td 7td 808 808 808 808 808 808 80i 80i 80i 80i^this is the upgraded version (i dont own an upped dusk) which also have considerable win against FGs but it would be better to switch to a time-rainbow or one of the entropy-rainbow for grinding FGs

Here are the precise steps you need to take:

1) build any deck on this list. (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,11026.0.html)  (As of this writing, there is exactly one, but others may be added as they are discovered.)

2) Grind t50 with that deck until you have 3 green Shards and a Druid Staff.

3) Grind AI3 with this deck:
Code: [Select]
5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bt 5bt 5bt 5bt 5c0 5c0 5c0 5c0 5c0 5c0 5c2 5c2 5c2 5c2 5c2 5c5
Get lots of Masteries, and use the electrum to upgrade your three SOGs. Replace Heals with each Shard as you get them upgraded.  As you do, you'll get more and more masteries, and your rate of electrum collection will increase.  Then, start saving your money for upgrading 6 Rays of Light

4) Once you have them, play  more t50 games until you have 3 Electrocutors.

5) Play RoL/Hope (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,6546.0.html) with only the RoLs upgraded.  It works just fine, and once you start aceing FGs regularly, you'll get the money for more cards much more quickly.

Good luck!
