When you are farming FG for gold and you win rares.

Because it is the opposite of:

When you are farming Top50 or AI3 for rares, you win normal cards.

Just to be a nitpicker, a pet peeve deals with behavioral patterns, not video game victory rewards.

...it's an incentive to encourage players to fight the false gods.

My pet peeve. Playing against an FG, they don't play much of anything for awhile, as soon as you think you have control of the board they switch it around and you lose in the next 3 turns.

I hate it when people refer to the elements as colors, especially when they use the wrong color. (example; Death is black. I have four purple quanta, I like red the best.)

ummm....what exactly do you mean "Farming FG for gold and win rares"?

if you mean you are only playing them to get the gold from victory, then why not sell the rares (as rares sell for WAY more gold than you win from FGs)?

if you mean you are winning cards you want to KEEP, instead of cards you want to SELL, quit bitching. At least you are winning cards. Anyways, think of it this way: it saves you ~500 electrum, since they usually sell for about 1000, but cost 1500 to upgrade (neglecting the initial card cost)

I have to say I do this constantly, and have to recheck any posts to make sure I say things like 'electrum' and 'quanta' and 'pillars/towers'...but this is all due to the extremely close ties to mana, land, color, and money. I also enjoy Legend of the Five Rings and Doomtown, but never refer to their prospective ideals as anything other than ghost rock, gold, deeds, and holdings. Though I do sometimes interchange clan and faction. As I said, it's all about how closely related things are in your own mind
