elite queen???? (is it pointless)

i was looking though some firefly queen decks and they all were saying never upgrade the firefly queen, so i looked it up and its ability seemed to be worse when its upped.

Has any one though of a good use of upped fireflie queen  ability to generate  producing fireflies, the only think i can think of is combining it with Fahrenheit but there are better ways to get high  quanta without basing a deck around it, please post about cards that work well with elite queen or decks based around it.

It's used commonly in CCYB (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,9545.0.html) where they give you the ability to finish off the opponent with Fractal Destroyers.

Aside from that, there's probably not much use.  I've tried creating decks like Fire Queen's without much success, though they can work in the appropriate situation.

and the +1 damage per firefly isn't bad. ffqs in general have some good things over other fire generators, such as being easier to use with empathic bond.

could you please clarify what CCYB is and what you mean by fractal destroyers
im new and haven gotten all the lingo (only just got that PU refers to parallel universe)
it makes it difficult to understand some posts and your first line made no sense

the extra damage is nice but i was just referring to there ability to generate fireflies that generate

Maybe this is too obvious but +  makes UG (unstable gas) come to mind.  I don't have any upped queens so i haven't tried it but you could probably use the extra fire quanta for some explosions

Also there is a link to CCYB in willng's post and fractal destroyers means use the fractal card on lava destroyers (upgraded lava golems)

Elite Queen gives off surprisingly quickly, and makes an excellent synergy (UG, Fractal, and majority of Fire cards)

One possible strategy of the Deck "CCYB"
Step by step:
Play firefly queen and produce fireflies, accumulate fire quanta
Play Lava Destroyer, play Fractal on it
Use the accumulated Fire Quanta to play additional 5-7 Lava Destroyers, increasing your Damage output by additional 35-49
This strategy can be used in long games, where the opponent has lots of healing or is using spells like Miracle for the killing blow

CCYB doesnt rely on this, though. Its just an additional damage source for killing blows. Most of the time, the 4 damage of the fireflies themselves do the job. So upgrading the Queen is IMHO more about that 1 additional damage of the flies.
