What exactly do you like about the fact that Pheonix doesnt generate Cell when it triggers on-death effect? Just that its exception to the rule? Why not make it that Afla "beats" Pheonix? Or, in a crazy world, that every card does what it says on the card when you buy it and place it in the deck.
There are more and more cards that sometimes do what it says on the card, and sometimes do something else. I cant see how that is a good thing for the game, future players and whatnot. Clear set of rules are crucial for any game. Having bunch of exceptions is just poor design.
Honestly, I dont care if Pheonix will turn to cell or not as I dont like Afla as a card. It is a weak card that can find its use only against undeveloped AI. I just dont understand the stance "oh it breaks the rules, I like it". If this game ever increases its card count, we'll need to print out manuals to be able to play the game, and pay people in chat to deal with daily newbies and questions about adrenaline.
