GAMERS HELP HAITI!

If you're a tabletop RPG player, OR just feel like donating charitably and getting a whole bunch of random RPG-related .pdfs besides, Check This Out! (http://www.niftymessageboard.com/viewtopic.php?p=143927#143927)  Donate $20 to help Haiti recover (yes, it's legit, I've already quadruple-checked) and receive a thousand dollars worth of digital RPG-related material sold by RPGNow.com.

I've donated, I've recieved the goods, and they really are what they claim to be.

If something happens and you think it deserves my attention, feel free to PM me. Other than that, I'm probably here if you want to shoot the breeze.

I didn't have time to read all that but of is this possible? How can that company give out $1000 worth of stuff when you donate only 20$? Makes no sense. Or is that some really old/worthless stuff they dug out from their basement?

Perhaps people are betrayed.

If I wanted to spend money to Haiti, I would do it on the normal direct way.
Who says, that the money will really go to Haiti?
If the 20$ went there, the company would get nothing.

No, guys, the company sells DIGITAL (.pdf) format rpg gaming stuff, like new spells/classes/systems/settings, etc.

They're basically giving away 90% of their inventory -- which, because it's digital, costs them nothing -- to anyone who donates to the Haiti relief fund through their website.

It's completely legit, and totally something I would do if my website didn't go through an intermediary payment processor who sends me the check.

Digital. Ok, that makes sense.

I donated to the Red Cross. Personally, I think it's always best to use an established platform for these kinds of things.
So long and thanks for all the fish!
