Is there some kind of "ranking system" that could work?

Say, <12 minutes for gold, <15 minutes for silver, <20 minutes for bronze, etc. Time expires at 20 minutes.

Ahh 144/170. I think the time limit needs to be higher. I'm a fast typer, and my biggest problem was that I knew the cards were there, but I just couldn't think of all of them quickly enough. 170 is a big number, so 20 minutes may be better to give people more time to dig through their memory.
