Is there a hard limit on quantum gained?

I was playing mono-dark and I noticed that my quantum never went over 75, despite playing Devourers and having many Pendulums and Darkness Pillars out ... is there a limit to quantum gained now or is it a bug?

I did cap it, though it's probably not very useful.

Within the recent patch, Zanz had set a maximum cap on quanta to exactly 75 for all of the elements (probably as a way to limit the damage dealt by ramp-up spells like Fire Lance and Fahrenheit). So no, this isn't a bug. ^^;

Wow ... that, combined with the Shard of Sacrifice is a huge imbalance now, since a stall deck is the major counter to that...

I guess that's a pretty hard nerf to an already weak element, Darkness, in the forms of Pests and Drain Life as well.

Darkness is in no way weak, furthermore the quanta cap makes very little difference to darkness, it only really affects fire stalls

For something that was meant to nerf firestalls, it sure hurts ice bolt and drain life more
