i think the posture is the same in many cards because they were from the profile shots of the spore characters. if i'm not wrong i think that steam machine is an exact replica of a spore creature.

Does Zanzarino have a Spore account with the uploads on the Sporepedia? Now I want to see them in action... it'd be fun to play Creature Stage again as a Fallen Elf!

^^This. The Steam Machine is a Spore Creature too. Both upped and unupped. Go see the artists' pages in the game (I think vrt's isn't a spore page), you'll find a crapload of spore creations  :o
