As you may (or may not) know, there are currently no masters for either air or aether, because of the abysmal performance from all the challengers.  I'm pretty sure SG already has something in mind to find the challengers, but assuming she didn't, what would you like to have happen for a challenger to prove their worth.

Personally, I've always thought it wasn't a players skill that matter, but their devotion to their element.  For instance:  suppose Tweedle Dee had 6 of every card, including rares, upgraded and upgraded, and he was a global moderator who played 8 hours a day and he helped Zanz program the game.  Now suppose Tweedle Dum redesigned the card art for every life card in the game, but has no upgrades and is still fighting AI3.  I'll pick Tweedle Dum every time.

So my question to you is this:  how do the challengers for the title of air/aether prove their worthiness?  Or do we just have air/aether have multiple generals, and let the war prove who's worthy?

I believe that the current plan is to have all of the Aether and Air team members in the War duke it out to become masters of their respective elements.

For War purposes, Air has Pervepic and Aether has icecoldbro.

The Trials (I believe) rules say that it is up to SG to pick the master, and now that we have the Council, it's our responsibility, no worries.

*facepalms* that means im going to have to beat pervepic... oh well, if i beat him, then that would be AWESOME. think about it, being able to defeat the "master" of air while using no upgrades, yet he does. that just screams worthiness of the title.

yes, that is why i will be able to fight pervepic. otherwise i wouldnt do it at all. i would never betray my own team like that.

I don't like the idea of the war members fighting for the master title. If an element happened to not be the highest bidder for someone, they should still have a chance to become master. I also agree with Gl1tch that people should be judged on how much they deserve to be master, not on something like how good their PvP skills are.

Master is essentially the best PvP player of that element.  The title is won after a series of PvP battles so obviously one must be a good duelist to win.

Yeah letting the war teams battle may not be the most fair way to pick a master, but their were trials and those in them did not meet the standards so whatever fate happens is justified.
