So I'm grinding Arenas for rares so I can actually make some more competitive stuff but....omg....how long does this take...

Also is there any particular reason why all those tutorial guides talk about grinding bronze but not silver? Is it just because bronze is lowest level and therefore easiest or is there some sort or RNG involved?

This is a Card Collecting Game, it's supposed to take time and a lot of grinding to get to a full collection.
As for why bronze it's better: There's actually a pretty big difference between bronze and silver decks, because most people have a decent deck before they reach silver, and also because silver decks have access to Dexterity, which is by far the best bonus in arena. Also there are a lot of decks with only 1 hp in bronze which makes the grind easier.

Took roughly a week of hardcore bronze+silver grind to get my set of 12's when I had nothing to do. Translates to maybe 50 hours of play?

Bronze is faster because it's easier to get streaks with it, but silver isn't that bad either. I do a mix of both, silver doesn't let you rarespin as often but at least it earns you a nice amount of electrum. It might help to not try it in one go and just go for them passively. And remember: enjoying the grind is still more important than what you earn from the grind! If you want to do other leagues or AI4 or whatever, go ahead. It's better than despairing over having to grind bronze and ending up not playing at all.

Yeah after grinding a ton (and unfortunately getting a ton of rares that I could not care less for...well perhaps one day I'll go pretend to be a False God with all the damn Fahrenheits and Owl's Eyes that I got), I decided to just do maybe like 2-3 special rolls per day as I feel like it and then do whatever the heck I feel like.

Surprisingly I'm finding Silver alot easier...having to win only 4 matches makes it feel like alot less of a grind tbh, and Dexterity is great, but I still usually win, which means I win faster against those getting Dexterity than those Bronze levels getting their HP to like False God levels.

I'm also running into more sub-100 HP decks in Silver somehow lol

I'm using Tiko's Bone Collector for Arena Grinding, and Chapuz's Limitless Speed (Slim version as base but some stuff switched around for more Hourglass Speed, with everything but 4 Shields and a Quantum Pillar upgraded) for FG. I would love to run a Hourglass-Druid Deck but I don't have anywhere near enough money (and frankly anything 3 HP or below basically insta-dies now the way I see it).

As for my Electrum, I'm poor (obviously that's why I'm grinding!).

Besides the above all I got are some Rares; off the top of my head:

2 Shards of Serendipity
3 Shards of Gratitude
1 Shard of Sacrifice (only 5 more for DialSoSac....)
2 Shard of Void
1 Shard of Readiness
1 Pulverizer
2 Fahrenheit
3 Owl's Eye
2 Eternity
1 Arsenic

At the very least where the shards are concerned, as far as I can notice, the majority (by number) that I possess are not particularly popular for the current meta decks.

I am finding Silver the easiest to grind - and I am roughly level 26. I use a mana-stealing deck - which is not viable beyond silver. I find it roughly as effective a bronze, but more electrum
